a bicycle before. What would you say to him? You don't want to give him a wrong idea as if you were interested in him. Just little words polite and friendly.

racer51, why not just wave and say hi? Because that's unnormal. Not for a person whom you've never seen riding on a bicycle. If he has been riding it for quite a while and you've seen it, then that is the other thing. If I just wave and say hi, he may think that I were jealous of him having a new bike. Just like what these answerers turg143 and retaliationisnow think as you can see in their stupid answers. The fact is I've got my own car and bike so that I've no reason to be jealous of him.

Pacifica's answer is quite good but I don't want to know more even if he wants to tell me.

Hi! Nice bike.

Leave it at that. If he want to tell you more he will.

I would say: "Hey Neighbour! Gimme me back my back or I'll call the cops and unleash my dog on you"
