Valley Forge was the winter of 1777-1778

Benedict Arnold was caught when a note being sent to a British officer with information on what Washington's army was up to was intercepted. Arnold's handwriting was recognized. Still he was allowed to go on and join the British army instead of being hanged for treason. So he, in fact, served in both armies during the war.

The Battle of Yorktown was in 1881. General Cornwallis went to that penninsula in VA to wait on British ships, but America's French allies made it there first. With the French in the harbor, and the Americans blocking his exit on land he was trapped. He surrendered.

That website I gave shows an excellent timeline.

Valley Forge- the winter of 1777-1778
GB warfare- Traditional European lines and formations
Col- Hit and run and guerrilla tactics
Arnold- was aleading American commander who felt snubbed and passed over repeatedly for promotion, he then asked for and received the command of The Ft at West Point, a key point on the Hudson north of New York. He agreed to give the British details of the Ft's defenses and hand it over to them for a Generalship and command in the British Army. His treason was exposed and he fled.
Loyalists- Those in America who remained loyal to King George during the conflict.
Yorktown- The Americans were able to trap Cornwallis on the pennesula in the town of Yorktown and Cornwallis had anticipated being able to escape by sea, but the French navy arrived and blockaded his exit. Trapped , he was laid seige to and eventually forced to surrender, virtually ending the war. These are some of the basics, for more detail search on the net.

You should do your own research, you learn nothing at all if others give you the answers!

if it is a school project, it seems like you should be doing it yourself, not expecting someone on yahoo to do it for you. since you obviously know how to use a computer, why not do a yahoo search for revolutionary war sites---something like this should get you started:
