It could be low on refrigerant. Or the external coils need to be cleaned. Opening it a lot could do it. One person mentioned the door gasket. Clean that, and it's mating surface, with alcohol and make sure it's not cracked or overly hard. Other than those possibilities, there's probably nothing wrong with it. They run as much as they need to in order to keep the inside at the right temperature.
The TV has absolutely nothing to do with it. Heat rises, for Pete's sake.

That's normal. It happens a lot. Mine does all the time. The TV shouldn't be affecting it at all. The fridge is just shutting off because that's what it's designed to do. Once everything's cold, there's no need to waste all that energy it would running. If it shut off for a long time and stuff started geting warm, that's when you'd have a problem. But since that's not what's happening, everything seems fine and normal! Good luck.

If it's just the motor shutting off that normal. It it's as if the electricity has been pulled out of it, it's not. They're like ovens, they need to be at a certain temp. so, they keep going on and off until they reach the temp. They then shut down, when the temp changes (in the fridge's case) it goes back on to get cooler.

If the gasket (the rubber-like seal strip around the edge of the door) is in bad shape, the heat from the tv could be effecting it.
Also, if you think it's running too often check to be sure there is no obstruction or dirt buildup in front of the opening to the motor (it's located across the bottom front).
If it starts running continuously, then there's really a problem.

Quite normal. Refrigerators have a thermostat in them. When they have cooled to the required temperature they switch off. They will stay switched off until they rise above the set temperature. Refrigerators are very well insulated against thermal transfer and so may be switched off for a considerable time. Without the thermal switch they would just get colder and colder and everything would freeze.

My mini-fridge is doing exactly the same...-) it's OK. The only thing that bother me is the noise, it's kind of noisy but it's probably because I got a cheap one.

That's normal. It only runs the compressor when it has to. If it ran all the time, it would freeze up!
