God is just, loving and kind. For these reasons He would not demand that Japeth would actually sacrifice his daughter. God substituted a ram for Isaac when He demanded Abraham to sacrifice his only legitimate son. Isaac was Abraham's only son just as Jesus was God's only begotten son. This a typology of the future sacrifice of Christ at Calvary. We read of the Ten Commandments in which God stated "Thou shalt not Kill" therefore how could a holy and righteous God allow him to sacrifice his only daughter. When we read she and her companions went to the mountains to bewail her virginity it is a reference to her remaining unmarried for the rest of her life. This passage is a veiled reference to her self-sacrifice because she was willing to sacrifice any hope of marriage in deference to her father's vow unto God.

A bad man could never understand the bible which is the word of God. God will not allow you to understand it because inspite of not believing God you can still afford to utter very offensive words to God. You do not know how to respect God. Believe what you believe but do not go beyond of uttering bad things against our God.

I didn't read where it said that God made him make that vow? In my Life Application Study Bible the notes read as follows..."When Jephthah made his vow did he stop to consider that a person, not a sheep or goat, might come out to meet him? ...Jephthah's rash vow brought him unspeakable grief in the heat of emotion or present turmoil it is easy to make foolish promises to God. these promises may sound very spiritual when we make them, but they may produce only guilt and frustration when we are forced to fulfill them. Making spiritual 'deal' only brings disappointment. God does not want promises for the future, but obedience for today."
