Yes.
Increase in the general population's intelligence.
The more climate changes the more intelligence decreases. It's a scientifically proven inverse proportion.

When you have a disagreement with someone over almost any subject you tend to exaggerate in order to win the argument. When it is a subject that few know all the details, That exaggeration can be quite dramatic.
You must impose a filter on what you hear. Limit the exaggeration by limiting your information to those who are experts and those you trust not to mislead you. If you read "answers" you know there are many opinions of what the facts are in most subjects.
The thing about global warming is it could be as devastating as a nuclear war if all that is said is true. The possibility that it could take 50 years to reverse the trend(the amount of co2 in the atmosphere) means that it is a subject even those that do not believe must pay close attention.

I can go with earthquakes. They don't appear to be linked.
War is a good one. Wars have been going on long before global warming. The lunar eclipse can't be linked to climate change. Yeah - there's plenty of stuff.

We share an annoyance about the over the top "It's all due to global warming" stuff. I don't like it because it detracts from the real issues.
There have been some rather strained linkages.
But they're not necessary. The solid truth is reason enough to do something about this.
Coastal flooding will cause rich countries huge expense. Moving people, replacing things lost to flooding, etc. Also moving agriculture and irrigation systems around to cope will cost bucks. The expense involved is very likely to cause a worldwide economic depression that will make the 1930s look like good times.
Poor countries are even worse off. Without the money to cope with damage to agriculture, many will die of starvation. Millions will flee across national borders, and the resulting wars will be bad news.
This is a disaster without the more unproven connections.
"It's enough to make you wish that climate change were a hoax, rather than the reality it is."
Now let's talk about the equally silly "Isn't there anything that doesn't cause global warming?" question, with things like flatulent moose detracting from the more important causes.

There is a great deal that can't be linked with climate change. Yet that doesn't stop overly imaginative Bloggers and news reporters from trying. Just ignore them and focus on what actual scientists have to say.

Yea, that's the great thing about global warming. It does everything, so we must act now to stop it.
I know it's the politicians and news that are selling this hype for their own benefit, whether it be power or money, but those who believe on a scientific basis need to take blame as well as they don't speak up to stop this.
Dr.James Hansen is noted for pushing fear to the extremes when it comes to global warming. Now we have extreme and misleading information because of his work.
Those true to the cause should work to stop movies like 11th hour and dismiss it as fringe, but they won't, can't, as they themselves are dependent, addicted to the money that these movies create.
And it is this hype, this extremism that is helping grow the ranks of the skeptics.

it is annoying. Its either global warmings fault or George bush. The thing with global warming is it is a natural cycle and not man made.

Well you do a nice job of linking yourself to it. Apparently if the scientists hadn't published their data, all of you would have absolutely nothing to do all day long.

I've been snowboarding in the Northeast since I was a little kid and since I have started, the seasons have been getting continuously shorter. Starting later and ending sooner.
When I was a kid we would regularly get sub zero temperatures in the winter...now it's only cold enough to snow a few times a year.
