If you could jump between the two eras, you would find that there was no difference. The climate hasn't changed at all.
The only difference is that today there talk over the weather, and in the '80 there wasn't this extremism.

In the 1980's they didn't know much about it and thought it was no big deal and kept up the burnign of the ozone.
Now, here in the 2000's we're the ones paying for our ancestor's faults. People here in Cali are dying of the heat and there's not even a bit of rain to help!
And about the second ice age, scientists today still think that it would be England who experiences it. Global Warming's real def. is that it causes the climate change to become unsteady. So it could go either way. I mean, Britain's getting rained on while in my place, we're dying of heat.

In the 80's we were experiencing weather patterns that we haven't experienced before in recorded history around the world, just like today. And yes Global Warming is a natural process, but the warming that occurs, but there is a new factor at work...Humans. Since the first time we industrialized scientist (very, very few) speculated that human activities may cause alterations in climate patterns world wild. So this issue can be resolved, the same way that it has been sped up...by human actions.

No measurable difference. The globe is warming so slow (about one degree every 100 years on average). It is hard to measure the change in 20 years. that is only 2/10 of one degree. Can't even measure with a therometer.
You can go to co2science.org, and see the actual temperatures for your area for the last 30 years. Very interesting.

the only difference was back then the scientists were claiming we headed into another ice age. Today these same people are saying we are going to warm up. Its all bunch of baloney. They cant even tell us what the weather will be like tomorrow accurately.

in the 80's, we were starting the ice age. "proven by 30 years of irrefutable data"
now we have "30 years of irrefutable data on global warming".
both are caused by man's use of fossil fuel. both are the same "experts".
both are lies.
