Assume that there IS a God, but there is NO Hell. I know a lot of you already believe that God didn't create a Hell, so this will be easy for you.

If God's punishment for sin and not following his word is destruction (in other words, YOU CEASE TO EXIST AN ANY FORM WHATSOEVER), then would you choose to follow God and be with him in Heaven, or would you choose to enjoy your life now and let God eliminate your existence at judgement?

btw, if you're just going to preach about how there IS a Hell, or if you're not going to answer the question honestly, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER. There are more appropriate places for your opinions and you should be mature enough to accept that.

Good question and this is how I will answer:

In my current state of mind and in what I believe, I would choose to enjoy my life now and let god eliminate my existence at judgment. Why? I would not know that my existence would be eliminated and henceforth, my presence and all that I am would simply cease. I would have no knowledge that I am no more. Therefore absolute destruction is really something I would have no way to feel because god could not keep me conscious if my entire existence was to be eliminated. Take care.

For one thing there is no hell the way religions teach.
You know the way of life following and applying bible principles is reward enough . I do not believe in heaven but if that was the reward it would only be a bonus.
So I guess you could say I already enjoy my life.

By the way you don't know how close you are to what the bible really teaches.

Well via no longer selecting existence you prefer loss of life am I proper? By no longer going left you cross proper. Not going ahead you return. There is best 2 offerings. And the one approach to God's kingdom is by way of Jesus Christ. Maybe should you might simply humble your self and notice that you're making errors and make an apology you'll be stored from Hell. By no longer selecting God, you do prefer Hell. There isn't any opposite direction round it so give up seeking to faux there's. God offers us an entire life to prefer. He places us in situations that we get to prefer what to do. He sends us humans that we both permit affect us or no longer. WE CHOOSE. God created Hell no longer for us, however for Satan. He doesn't suggest for any people to visit Hell. He wishes us to spend eternity with Him. But via believing within the many lies Satan has schemed up, we once more prefer. So if you're no longer selecting Hell, you then will have to be selecting God. What else is there to prefer from. You are proper, we do not get to decide on what the result is, however alternatively we wouldn't have the quality shrewd layout that God has. We do not create ourselves. God gave us existence. Then offers us the reigns and asks, "What is our option?" Do you desire to permit Him exhibit you easy methods to manage the reigns (your existence) due to the fact He does understand how it's going to end up? Or are you going to blindly take manage, dwelling to your possess pride and under no circumstances pondering beyond in these days? For the wages of sin is loss of life, however the present of God is everlasting existence. So you prefer...Death or Life?

The Christian idea is that God Himself is the goal. Heaven is just a place where those who want to love their Creator will be and hell is just a place for those who want to be independent of their Creator.

Sin is that which undermines the relationship between us and our Creator. Ultimately, the punishment for sin is to give us what we want.

In the light of what I've just written, I don't think your question makes sense because you've implied that heaven is the reward and it's not.

See I'd rather live my life full of happiness, peace, love, and all that jazz than live a life oppressed by what a book from ancient people says and have eternal "life" knowing my time on earth was really pathetic.

the day I and my wife realized there was no Hell

and that the references in the english bible to hell was a poor translation of "the grave" , or "the junk pile" or asleep

was a peaceful day and began life as less fearful and about living not dying

There's no choice at all in John 8:32
YE shall know the truth and the truth shall make YOU free.
Know truth(grace) makes you FREE of believe lies(laws).
However there is a notable chanGe, from YE to YOU;
from ye do err (greatly and alway), to you made perfect;
made perfect by "the God of all grace" is (you)r Maker.

The God of all grace make "you": perfect ... stablished.
It is a good(God) thing the heart be e-stablished in grace.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

This type of questioning gets me thinking that even you question the validity of god .
Something with that much power is not going to sit on his @ss and do NOTHING to defend his honor ????
Think about it ????
