Why would he change his message to something that was taken out of context from someone who was trying to spread Jesus' message. He had it right the first time.

Maybe just get some more facts before asking this type of question. 1. Jesus did know it was going to happen, but he didn't necessarily WANT it to happen knowing what kind of suffering was involved. (See the Garden of Gethsemane the night he was turned in.) 2. He suffered emotionally, physically and most importantly spiritually. In order for him to save us he had to take the worlds sins, since God cannot be associated with sin the sacrifice was Jesus's to make and he was disconnected from God for the 1st time (and only time) ever. And there are actually much more deeper meanings that would take actual research on your part to fully understand. If you saw someone about to be hit by a car and they could die but you would survive would you step in and save them? I mean you still would have to suffer all the pain. But is it worth it? And would you actually do it? DuckPhup as smart as your answer 'sounds' you completely missed the point. But I'm sure you must be right and everyone else is wrong.

You might like the free e book "A New Christ" and 63 others on trans4mind. com. It's along similar lines as far as I've read in it. I think this video explains a lot. The answer is in attitudes and ideas which are being refined in the fires of our earnest desire for truth and all the information in the information age. They say all human knowledge is doubling every 32 hours. I wonder how they figure that. They're finding now that the mind can take the whole bible and all knowledge and put it all in context answering all questions. It seems the intense mission of the left hemisphere is to ask questions and the dedicated and joyful mission or the right is to answer them. Very interesting what they're coming up with today.

Why should He? The sacrifice has been made. It's a fait accompli. Remember Golgotha? It's God's mercy we may now call upon and we may do so BECAUSE the sacrifice has been made.

GREAT CAESAR'S GHOST! When will you people actually READ the Bible instead of depending on others' opinions and on single passages taken completely out of context?

Or maybe it will be something completely different... like "mercy for sins" - or both of the messages. He might even change it to part of the Lord's prayer like "forvive all trespasses". We won't know unitl he comes I suppose :(

No, He will change his message to "Times up! All who have failed to take advantage of this period of grace will now face the wrath of God!".

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

Matthew 20:28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Romans 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will render to each one according to his works:

Revelation 10:5 And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven 6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, 7 but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. 14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
