He'll need a bed or basket or crate for training him to his own space for sleeping. You'll need feeding and watering dishes, a collar and leash, a visit to the vet to make sure he has all his vaccinations and is healthy (an annual visit thereafter if he stays healthy), food (I prefer Purina Puppy Chow - and you can moisten it for a young puppy to make it more palatable).
You'll probably want lots of newspapers in one room with tile or linoleum floors, for training the puppy to urinate on, if you are not with him all day long - this room should have a door that you can close and leave him plenty of water to drink.
You will want indoor toys for chewing on and snuggling; and toys for playing, such as a ball to chase when you throw or frisbees, etc. when you play outdoors. Remember that a young puppy will be growing his teeth, and you want to provide "good" chewing opportunities so he won't chew shoes, clothing, furniture, doorframes, etc. - give him pig's ears, and bones of rawhide, things like that for chewing.
Welcome to the new world of love!
Oh, yeah, I forgot the cleaning stuff - shampoo and conditioner for a healthy clean smelling coat, flea spray or collar, grooming brush or comb.

Pups need to stay with the litter until 8 weeks for best mental health development. You need a crate, collar, leash, food, 2 dishes, lots of paper towels and stuff to clean up accidents. Toys, stuffed sheepskin types are usually welcomed by hunting breeds, Kongs or sterilized bones can be stuffed and tossed into the freezer for a longer lasting treat. A vet visit is the best idea within 7 days as if he has a health problem you are not too attached and you will need heartworm preventative and flea stuff. Once you have a name for him buy a pet ID tag, Wal*Mart and Pet Stores have the machines that make them or order one from Boomerang tags.

the first day we brought home my dog he was already big. don't forget 2 get him a collar and a leash. we got him food, 2 dog bowls, 1 for food, 1 for water, (i suggest puppy chow for a puppy!!!) u might want 2 get him a squeaky toy or tennis ball 2 play with just in case....and some small doggy snacks and make sure theyre small so than he can swaloow them without any troble. And maybe a soft fluffy doggy bed would be nice. has the days go on youll realize what else you'll need.
make sure u give him lots and lots of attention and love!!! I think u should bring him outside 2 play with u a lot!!!!

The most important things should go first, such as food, food and water dishes, leash and collar. Then get some books to help you learn more about caring for a dog.You will also need a crate if you are planning to have him crate trained. A dog house for outside if you want too. Then you need some treats, such as dog bones and milk bones I think there called. ( Not too many treats though) Then your dogs favourite thing....TOYS get him a couple toys that squeeke to keep him accopied , and to keep this teeth away from your furntiure.
Good luck with your pup Hope I helped

Your exceptional guess if your bucks are constrained will probably be to verify with a rescue or refuge, nevertheless even you then don't seem to be much more likely to uncover one for that low a price. Probably essentially the most sensible alternative can also be so that you can maintain up for one. You acknowledged it yourself, dogs are highly-priced. You can't assume a handout or discount simply considering that you "desire anything badly." (believe me, if which were the case, i could have a brand new, $100 Mercedes Benz right now!)

I would stock up on toys, chew bones, puppy food, puppy pads, if you aren't using a crate.

others will list the obvious
The best investment for your puppy is educating yourself on correctly and happily training the puppy...get books, videos, research the web (don't just ask questions here.....) and plan on puppy classes and obedience training classes
