"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
The Lord is here addressing the individual believer in the Church at Laodicea. He is NOT addressing unbelievers. The person addressed has for some reason - persecution or worldliness - excluded the Lord from the central place in his heart. When we become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ we acknowledge Him as our Lord and Master and being God He knows when we give Him second place and take first place ourselves. The heart in scripture is the citadel of the personality where decisions are made, in fact it may be referred to as the door of the will.

Hi adoreHim remember me? I'm the one who wanted a role model.
I read some of these answers and it was sad to see what I saw I only read three so far but God is not some magical demi god He is far from it he is the God of the universe and he wants to cleanse you from your sin. He wants you to live him forever and all you have to do is pray a simple prayer God I'm sorry for all I have done cleanse me and make me new come into my life and change me. The end times are coming and you know what if you were to die today where would you go? heaven or hell? when every knee bows and every tongue confesses that God is lord will you have already confessed? When judgement comes will you be scared to your wits end or joyful? Think about that stuff if you have confessed Jesus to be your Savior before but have back slid come back to him He has been grieving your loss waiting for your return like the prodigal son. Run to Him his arms are open.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son so whoever believes in him will not perish but have
eternal life
GOD LOVES YOU

Its Great. I am not contradicting your faith. But, why do you want other people to have believe and have faith in Jesus. Let them follow which ever religion and god they believe in.
Maybe the god they believe in has already knocked the door of their heart and they heard it.
Please dont force Jesus on everyone.
You worship him like many other christians which is great. Others who are not christians follow their religion which is equally great.
Please dont force everone to follow your religion. To everone their religion is great.
Kindly dont mistake me. With due respects to you and Jesus.
p.s. Are you a nun ?

No that cannot be Jesus because He is in heaven with the Father preparing a place for me. The One close to my heart would be The Light of the world, The Holy Spirit. This is The One Jesus said would reveal all truth to us.

Have You Been SAVED?
JOHNNY was ten years old when a man stopped him at a fair and asked: "Young man, do you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" That sounded like a rather strange question to Johnny, since he had always believed in Jesus. So he answered, "Of course I do." "Praise the Lord!" the man shouted for all to hear. "Another soul saved for Christ!"
Is salvation really that simple? Was Johnny "saved" from the moment he said those words, regardless of what he would do for the rest of his life? Many sincere people would answer yes. Some religious tracts say to write down the date you were "saved" so that you can remember it.
A clergyman wrote that at "the moment of simple faith in Christ . . . one's destiny is permanently settled." He claimed that the Bible says that salvation depends on a single, one-time "act of faith, not on the continuity of faith." Another religion writer wrote: "This is a finished work. It has already been accomplished for you . . . Your 'warfare has ended.' Your 'iniquity has been removed.'" But even people who are firmly convinced that this is true may see a problem here. It is obvious that many people who have been told that they are "saved" do not live the way the Bible says they should. A common explanation is that perhaps they had not really "accepted" Christ.
So, what does "accepting" Jesus really mean? Is it a one-time act of faith, or is it a continuing way of life? Must our belief be strong enough to motivate us to action? Can we really accept the benefits of Jesus' sacrifice without the responsibility of following him?
Many people want the blessings but not the responsibility of following and obeying Jesus. In fact, the word "obey" often disturbs them. Yet Jesus said: "Come be my follower." (Luke 18:18-23) And the Bible states: "Those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus . . . will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction."—2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9; Matthew 10:38; 16:24.
The Bible says many things that raise serious questions about what has been taught about salvation. If you would like to verify what the Bible actually says on this subject, you will find the following pages to be particularly interesting. Open your Bible, and read the cited texts to see what Jesus and his apostles taught about this vital matter.

Because Jesus freaks like you are literally knocking on my door on Saturday mornings.
Why don't you let Allah into your heart? Or Krishna? Or Zeus? Or Osiris? There is absolutely NO reason why I should believe these are any less credible than your religion.

How do you know it is Jesus who is knocking at the door of my heart? This is the very cause of 'why different believers fight'. Will it make any difference if it is 'Allah' or 'Ram' or 'Mary' or 'Buddha' and 'not Jesus'? Names do nothing, 'faith in Him' does everything.

No vacancy. I'm too full of love for my friends and family. I don't need a fear of hell to inspire me to do good. I do good to spite this hideous world, not for rewards.
Didn't hear a knock anyway. I saved Him a place when I was young and he never showed up.
