It really depends on how you will be using the vehicle. The Murano was designed to give you the benefits of an SUV while maintaining a car-like ride. It is very quiet, smooth with the CVT tranny, 4 wheel independent suspension and offers decent gas mileage. It definitely was not designed to tow that much or do any serious off-roading. That is where the Armada comes in. It's based off of the Titan pickup so the ride will be truck like, but you can go off-roading and tow heavy objects. Trade-offs include low gas mileage and rougher ride. If you are considering preowned, stay away from the 03-04 model years. The Armada/Titan/QX56 had serious electrical problems which were fixed in the later years.

Murano is much smaller easier to park Aramada can tow a horse trailer. Murano has a fuel saving CVT transmission. Murano has a 3.5 liter V-6, Aramada Has a 5.6 liter V-8. Aramada can have air leveling suspension to carry heavy loads and three row seating.. Aramada Has really strong four wheel drive available. Murano 4 wheel drive is just to keep you from getting stuck and is not for serious off roading. Either Murano Or Armada a real truck depends on how much money you intend to use to fuel it?
