Absolutely!

Very easy to use and a great introduction.

I have done Pimsleur (sp?) French I, II, III and what it lacked in spelling/grammar was helped by the BBC's site.

Au revoir

Great to see you recognise one of the initial difficulties in learning French - the pronunciation. It's virtually impossible to describe several of the sounds in print and the phonetic alphabet is not much good unless you have actually heard the sounds or come across similar ones in other languages.

The fact that you're asking how to pronounce things well at an early stage makes me believe you'll get on very quickly.

Hi,

there are several online dictionaries which also give the pronunciation of words, I got one here (which is the French-German site, but if you want to know the pron. of a word, just type it in and then click on the speaker button)

Good luck to you,
and don't forget French, it's a beautiful language and if you want to, you will learn it!

Bon courage,

Anna

They are not any regulations. You can use it or no longer. ex: Il parle bien l'anglais. Il parle bien anglais. Both are proper. l' change "l. a. langue" (=the language). --> Il parle bien l. a. langue anglaise. Which is proper. Your first illustration will also be : Tu parles l'espagnol ? But you need to use sure article while the language is discipline of the verb. --> L'anglais est ....

Forget French. It's impossible.
