I learned it through common sense really.

If someone does not kill or rape... just because 5000 year old book tells them not to... then he's a psycho.

We grow up knowing morality. We spend our adult lives either clinging to it, or rejecting it.

Unless a person can come to grips with the existence of God, the author of all matter, living creatures, and Heaven, then Im afraid there is no objective basis for morality. Atheism provides no such foundation for understanding it and it may as well not exist.

If morality comes from humans, then it is an invention to be played with or not. But if morality comes from God, then we are all responsible for our actions and beliefs.

I learned my morals for a cartoon Called Transformers - My hero was Optimus Prime. Even today at 34 I still call upon his wisdom. "FREEDOM IS THE RIGHT OF ALL SENTIENT BEINGS" - Optimus Prime

We base our life to God's standard and yardstick...
THE BIBLE...

2Timothy 3

13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
