No. Cats are predators by nature and will continue to find rodents, bugs, lizards, etc to kill when they see fit.

Cats are hunters by nature. If you're lucky, you will get one that is not interested in doing it at all. However, most do hunt and they tend to specialize in going after different animals. Some like to hunt birds while others prefer rodents, lizards, or insects. The only way you can truly keep a cat from hunting is not to allow it to go outside.

You can't but you can reduce the killing by desexing your cat, and only feeding your cat at night, at around 8pm every night your cat will learn to come home at that time and so then you can lock him up at night so he dosn't get a chance to kill any birds while they sleep.Rodents are noctornal so that also reduces the chance.
I have done this with my three female cats and it works.
Goodluck.
But to your answer, training a cat not to kill small prey would be like training a chinese to talk australian in a month.
It can't be done.

I don't really know a great deal about mice, but rats, I'm pretty knowledgeable about. rats are easy to litter train, and most of mine haven't even needed TO be trained. I just put the litter tray in the corner where they go, and they use the tray. if yours don't take to it so naturally, then you may need to move soiled litter into the tray if they go elsewhere, and praise them if you see them use it. for free range time, you can either leave them access to get back to the cage, and most rats will go back when they need the toilet, or have a separate tray for out of the cage, again, if you put some soiled litter in it, they soon get the idea. for spays and neuters, while there are considered to be health benefits in spaying females, the operation is far less invasive for males. you would also need to consider the health and age of your current rats to weigh up the risks of surgery across the group of each gender. I don't think your male mouse will become sterile. male mammals remain fertile.

It is the instinct of cats to be predators, so the only thing you can do to reduce the incidence is to make sure your cat is fed well. If you kept your cat indoors, there would be no chance at all that he'd kill anything but dust bunnies.

Im not sure but is what some people do is they get a collar with a bell on it and when a cat jumps up and tries to kill a bird it will ring(not sure how effective it it)or when you find you cat has killed something tell it off dont yell some people tap on nose.
It is unlikely your cat will be trained like that its in their nature.

It's virtually impossible. It's their nature and all of their instincts tell them to chase small moving things. With a cat you just have to accept that you may find random dead things around sometimes.

Definitely not a grown cat which has killed. I have heard of kittens being taught not to kill mice, but once the predatory instinct is awakened, that is it.
