I am 16 years old. I met him off Myspace about a year ago and he's very good looking. We've been together for nine months now. One day, I was looking through his wallet and saw his drivers license. He's 18 years older than he told me.
I love him. Should I stay with him?

WOW. um WOW. u should DEFINATELY wait until ur atleast ATLEAST 18. cuz right now ur a minor and hes an adult and he can go to jail for it. i dont htink u can really love someone at 16. but if u do REALLY love him, u should wait for atleast 2 years and see. and if u still love him, then, then u can go out with him. but hes gonna be 50 then. ur still gonna be young and hes gonna be middle aged. late middle aged. he's 32 years older than u, and honestly, thats A LOT of age differnece. u were born when he was 32. but put it this way, when u wanna get married, ur gonna be 24 ish. and he's gonna be 56. do u really want to marry a 56 y/o?
but, age is just a number. if u do love him, i guess u could go for it after 2 years. but i wouldnt if i were u. what kinda person would lie about their age??? 18 years that is.
p.s- how could u think he's 24 if he;s 42?

You love him, yes. But does he love you?
If he loved you, he would've trusted you with his true age, wouldn't he?
I'm not saying it's not possible - take that 80-year-old lady and her 20-something husband. They seem fine. But the difference is, they're both legal and they're both certain of each other's ages.
Even if you do love him that much, you're still in high school and he's got a lot more years and a heck of a past. Do you know all about him - including that past?
If you two can develop a trusting relationship in which you really learn ALL about him then it could work out. Your parents might have a fit but if you two are happy and he loves you back, then I wish you the best of luck.
But I just want to make a point: You're 16, you have your whole life ahead of you. If he makes you happy, go for it. If he hurts you, just like any other guy, get rid of him. But remember, HE can get in a lot of trouble for this.

LOL what on earth how did they believe that o.o. Your boyfriends must be incredibly dumb in the arts of guessing what age somebody looks like. You will have to tell your parents and your boyfriend the truth and do harm minimisation. Having a baby at the age of 13 is now incredibly young and illegal to do and even in the 16th century when it was normal for a girl to have a baby at 14 not 13 was normal

Please git rid of this guy he has some issues that needs to be worked out with a therapist. I am sorry to say it. Your whole relationship was basically built on a lie. On top of that he is considered a big time pervert for being with a 16 year old. What are your parents blind? I would kill some guy showing up at my door if I had a 16 year old daughter and he looked like he was 24 or 42. Yes I say in this case run for it and tell him to leave you alone. There are plenty of nice cute guys around your age that would love to have you as their girlfriend. This guy is really weird sounds to me like. Sorry sweet heart it's just how I see it.

omg. first of all its hard to believe anyone just off myspace. there are a lot of creeps on there. if your only sixteen i know that you are going to have sooo many more relationships to come. all i can say is he sounds like such a weirdo and you need to get as far away as you can from him.
i just dont understand what a 42 year old can get out of being with a 16 year old. any yet have to lie about his age. thats messed up!

How to catch a predator ? Lol. all up to you hun but when you are 21 and he is like 50 you will want to be out doing things but he will want to sit on his couch drinking anf watching tv...Think about it...Its not worth it.The guys is a sex offender. Firstly, why did he lie about his age?
Was he afraid you would not like him because of it?
I have come across several online friends being in love with their online friends only to find out each other's age!!!
They seemed to be afraid of scaring the other off.......
So, to me, it is not real love if one has to lie!!
However, if you love him as much as he truly loves you, then stay on.
Please do let your parents know about him and your relationship too.
In that way, you might not lose out if something untoward happens.
You still have a very long way to go before being ''stuck'' with one guy.......let him wait till you come of age, can you do that? CAN HE DO IT??? That will be your answer whether he can wait or can't wait....take care.

Are you kidding me? How do you not know if someone is that much older? You should have been able to tell he wasn't 24 years old if he is really 42. If you are serious about this topic leave him. He lied about his age, who knows what else he has or is lying about. For all you know he's married with children!

i have a question for you... how could you not distinguish his age from his looks? i don't care how baby faced you are. but i can't believe that a 42 yr old man can look as young as a 24 yr old guy. you really are too young for this relationship.

No. Any 42 year old who would date a 16 year old is a pervert and someone with issues, and the fact that he lied to you only proves it further.
