first it is a choice -- not compulsory -- if you chose temple blessings then yes you are choosing to wear them
Second I go swimming after I drop my son of at early morning seminary -- I am wearing a swimsuit and a shirt (and flip flops) and that is it (about an hour and a half)
when I go surfing after work (about 15 times a year) I change into my swim stuff at work and when I get home I put back my normal cloths (3-4 hours)
Sleeping yes wear them
After marriage -- well ... I wont talk about that here but... (here is also a time not to wear them).
If I go running I might were running shorts but sometimes I go in street cloths...

You are expected to wear them day and night. There are some exceptions, most notably when the garment would be visible while wearing appropriate clothing for that activity. I would also not wear the garment if I'm going to a locker room to change before or after the activity. I won't wear the garment even to go to the doctor in certain cases. IOW, do not draw undue attention to it. There is no list of approved situations to not wear the garment.

There have been a lot of jokes concerning our temple garments. To make things simple, you are to wear them for most activities, even going to the gym. I wear them to the gym and as soon as I get home, I take a shower. Some prefer not to wear them to workout, play sports, or go to the gym for the simple reason as to shower at the gym. I do also agree that asking your bishop or stake president is the better advice. Also, this is not a good forum for asking this type of question due to the rude and sacrilegious remarks made on this site.

Before you go to the temple you should take the Temple Preparation class. This topic will be fully discussed in an approriate atmosphere. When you go through the temple there should an orientation where this will be discussed again.

Mormons are expected to wear them whenever they go out (except when they go to the beach)
I suppose if you are going to the gym, you wouldn't need to wear them then either. You don't have to wear them to sleep if you don't want to.
The best advice would probably be, just use common sense. And perhaps ask your bishop if you're not sure

You would take them off the same amount as normal underwear. Off for shower, bathing suit, intimacy with spouse. Oh, also off for gym/exercise. You'll love them. I sure do. Very comfy to sleep in.

I agree with Highflydanger. Not a good question to ask on Yahoo answers and ask your stake president. you might get a lot of disrespect for something so sacred.

You'll be allowed to take them off for "special occasions" but will be encouraged to wear them as much as possible. Congrats, look what you are getting yourself into. Garments sound obnoxious to almost constantly wear.
