You see, Mythology and Folklore people will admit are fictional.
Religions and Spirituality we have to go along with the act and pretend that they're all real.

The reason is very obvious. (You probably know all this, but are asking the question anyways)

1. Religion is a belief system. In Yahoo Answers it is for people asking about beliefs, and other religions.

2. Mythology is old stories. In Yahoo Answers it is for people asking about Odysseus, or 3 headed dragons (though there is a 3 headed dragon in the bible, go figure).

I've wondered that myself.

I guess people have to believe that THEIR mythology is better than YOUR mythology, which makes theirs religion and spirituality, and yours mythology and folklore.

It's the grown-up version of "who has the best imaginary friends?"

El ser humano nececita nutrirse de las palabras de sabiduria y asi elevar su espiritu.
Todas las antiguas culturas estaban cargadas de esa sabiduria y asi se han formao los Libros Sagrados como el Sohar de los Judios o el Talmud y el Koran para los Musulmanes y Arabes.
La Biblia para las religiones neo cristianas y Catolicas.
Muchas religiones, se estancan en el nivel social y politico.
Y nopermiten al individuo llegar al pleno conocimiento del Ser y Dios.- Pero el individuo, si busca, encuentra el camino a RELIGARSE con Dios, que sria el proposito de la Religion
en si.-Las practicas de la Religion ayudan a la hmanidad a ser mas fraternal y menos animal pero no muchas ayudan a reerncontrar a Dios dentro de si mismo.y en la naturaleza
