If he's started walking,he may be starting to recover.Head injuries take a while to get over.Try to force feed him strained meat baby food with an oral syringe ( available at any drugstore, just ask) Also, broth, milk, anything.Don't give up on him yet.If he can swallow and is trying to walk, there is still hope! And do keep him quiet. If he starts to have seizures, though, you probably will have to have him put down,if you can't afford treatment.Did they give you any medication at all?

Awww thats SOO sad. I feel for you and your poor kitty.
And, it would be weird if you DIDN'T cry.
If he's that old, and that sick, I don't think surgery is worth it, and then all the medications you'll have to give him will be a pain.
Personally, after much deliberation, I would put him to sleep. At least he won't be in pain anymore. And, although it'll be extremely tough on you, just remember that you're doing what's best for you cat.
So, think about it for awhile and get a few other opinions.
Good Luck!!

It sounds to me like your cat is suffering so the kindest and most loving thing to do would be to put him down. I know it is hard, but when you love your pet, you can do this because you know it is the best thing. I've had to do this a couple of times, and it helps if you can think there might be a kitty heaven.

I know that you said you do not have any money but, you have to figure it out! Sell something?? Jewerly, A TV, have a garage sale and make up signs that you are rasing money for your cat to get medical attention ask friends and family there must be someone that can help you? call your local animal shelter see if they have any answers? If worse comes to worse you can surrender your beloved pet to your local SPCA and they will pay for all medical if he is not too bad but, he will then get placed up for adoption. it is a horrible situation but, there is hope for your cat please do not let him suffer

just take it easy on everyone.
pet him, talk to him, hand feed him soft treats if he'll take them.
you can also try scooping out wet food (not on the recall list) with a plastic spoon and put it near his nose. he might smell it and try to eat it.
brush his fur out too, to make grooming easier on him.
i would wait about 2 weeks to allow some recovery, if he's not better by a month, sadly i would consider euthanization. try calling his name from accross the room, you know how you call a cat. i would throw a hoodie of yours into wherever he is sleeping so he knows youre near and he is encouraged to be active again. im so sorry for your cat :[

Please take this cat to your vet and put him out of his suffering. I don't care how much money you have or don't have, you MUST think of the cat's quality of life.
And in future, don't get a cat unless you have the money to pay for the necessities. Volunteer at your local animal rescue centre instead.
