Try talking to a trusted adult (outside the family) and tell him/her what you have been feeling. This adult will be able to tell you the next best course of action. If you don't feel you can trust anyone around you, go to your guidance counselor at school or better yet go to your nearest free clinic where they can recommend a therapist to you. It sounds like you've got depression with panic attacks. Good luck.

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.

Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

Depression Free Method?

Hey girlie. Lsiten, there are many people out there that have felt just like you, so not to sound contrived, but you are not alone. I knwo that you say that you dont wnat to go to a doctor, but it sounds like you need to get to a therapist very soon. There are crisis hotlines in every state, in every city (one called KUTO, or Kids Under Twenty One that I think is nationwide) with people ready to listen to you. I also hear that one of your biggest reasons for feeling depressed is that you feel that you don't matter in any particular part of your life, whether it is with your family or elsewhere. This inferiority complex stems from somewhere, perhaps an event you have not dealt with? Either way, a therapist can assit you with sorting out these feelings, and hopefully a therapist will suggest some family counseling. Alot of times we walk around letting what WE feel masquerade as the truth when it is not. I'll bet if you really opened up and let your parents know the extent of your feelings, they would be shocked to hear that you wanted to end your life due to a lack of their communication and interaction with you. Look, my best friend just commited suicide (honest to God) on June 27th. He has left us with a legacy of wondering why we could not have helped him, why the pain was so great that he would forgo fufilling his destiny, all of these things that we will never know. We each walk around with a hole in us. Suicide is a preventable death. Please give somebody the chance to help you. Blessings....

you are young eh?

and although alot of what is going on for you is really rough... alot of it could just be a thing that alot of young people deal with.... im not trying to minumis what you are going through here... just saying... you are not alone here.

i think you need to talk to yer parents... even though you 'think' they hate you. and then i think you need to see a doctor. there are all sorts of meds out there that could relieve some of you depression.

its also important to talk to someone regularly. find a friend you can trust... a school counselor... or another counselor, anyone.

and if you think you are at risk... of doing something stupid, like killin yerself. go to the ER. thats the worst thing you can do.

if ya need to talk.... give me a yell

all the best

The problem i see is with alot of peope on here is that they THINK inside the box.

What i mean by that is you'r trying to improve your hopeless life. In your hopless town where you have nothing going for you.

Stay where you are and eventually you will commit suicide.

Now back to what i was saying about thinking inside of the box. Obviously it looks like when you finish highschool you probably will become some depressed loser (no hard feelings) at a college, still absoloutely hating your life. If you haven't commited sucide yet that is.

What i recommend to you is get a job, save your money, learn a new language. (learn a new language beause that will be a good sign of improvement, yousee with a language it is easy to mark progress.

When you have a job save your money and then do soemthing like go to france and hike the road to santiago de compestela. There you can use your new found language skills :) and when you are hiking day and day out you will to fascinated by the new country, language and just getting to your next destination the next day to thinka bout suicide.

NOw im telling you that you have to read the book The alchemist about a boy named santiago. Here is a link to the wikepedia book for the page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Alchemist_(book)

Dont read to much of the wikepedia page or it will ruin the book for you.
But i can tell yout his book changed the way i thought of things. And it isnt to long either if thats a problem for you.

Good luck and i hope you read the book and you will know what i mean and im not just saying that. READ IT OK !!!

I hope i helped and don't forget dont be lazy dont fall into the trap.

well first of all.. suicide is never the answer.. you've been blessed with life which so many other people don't have.. so be grateful for that.. if talking to friends or family isn't help than seek professional help.. a therapist is impartial and wont judge you for how you feel.. they're amazing listeners and they're educated to help you.. exercise is also an amazing form of help for depression.. when depressed your brain doesn't produce enough of certain nuerotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin.. when you exercise these chemicals are produced more.. also you're body will produce endorphins and dopamine.. which are the bodies natural pain killer and the chemical linked with happiness.. you could also try meditation, muscle relaxation techniques, deep breathing, listening to music, yoga... and do things that you enjoy.. i hope that you feel better very soon.. my e-mail is on my page if you need someone to talk to..

lisa, your needs are too great to be dealt with by non-professionals. Talk to a school counselor to start with. Have your counselor call your parents and recommend a psychologist or psychiatrist for you.

1-800-SUICIDE is a hot line you can talk to people about your feelings. Remember, just because you think of it, does not mean you have to do it.

Honestly, the best answer is to visit your doctor to ask for a referral to a mental health physician where you can receive therapy along with meds if you suffer from a chemical in balance. You might be embarrassed now, but will thank yourself in the long end.
