Science and evolution are disproving religion, that's why religion considers it to be a threat. When a religious person gets sick they want the latest treatment that medicine and science can provide. Or would they prefer being treated with the ancient knowledge of biblical people who thought that the earth was flat? They can't trust science but they trust the discovered mistakes in the bible that has been proven to be wrong.

believe in God. It's not my place to do that.
But, as for The Bible saying anything to make
you think science can't be trusted, I'd have to
ask you to be much more specific. (Just which
passage or passages lead you to feel that
way? And why?)
In science, people conduct tests to prove or
disprove what start out as theories.
The Biblical scriptures is a set of books, by
people who made claims about there being
a supreme being--but, they do not make any
attempts to prove their claims. (And whereas
seeing is believing--and they claim to have
seen God--just reading is not always sufficient
to believe something.)
Take the tabloids: do you believe that Elvis
Presley is still alive, just because the tabloid
WORLD WEEKLY--now no longer in print--

I was a Mathematics and Education (dual) major with a Physics Minor in my BA degree. I do TRUST Science very much. There are a few areas that are still a bit shaky... Radio-carbon dating is one of those areas. It is only reliable to a few centuries according to what I have been reading and I am a believer in our FATHER'S WORD (the Bible). Although, I am NOT an Atheist I have argued both sides of this debate in years past. I am quite capable of debating when given time to study the material and the topic before the debate begins. Science is not so much the problem as the Scientists...
Too many Scientists forget that Evolution is a theory and they speak of it as fact.. and they speak of other things as if they are also fact.. so a few things get published in a fashion that references one to another and none of them are facts and nobody can figure out why it cannot be proven because it LOOKs so simple and true.. so then one of the scientists tells himself that his data is wrong and he starts making up new data that will fit what he is looking for...
ONE such change can take nearly a hundred years to get discarded by the scientific community.. I have seen faked data, original date in the early 80's,she admits to breaking down to pressure of time and peers to complete the study. The data appears in many papers since she was expelled from University for fraud and denied her PhD.. this person was young and no criminal charges were ever filed because of age but she was moved to a new University and undertook a new field of study while under heavy scrutiny of any research.. I had the privilege of studying with her and learning much.. especially about meticulus record keeping...
I think some of the worst cases are in Psychology of Children.. and that is how we got "new math" and several other bungled "new teaching method" education systems.

I love science, and find God there. I believe as Galileo said, that Mathematics is the language by which God created the Universe

The Bible was written by a man, NOT GOD. Just look at all the contradictions in the bible! This proves its deffinitely written by a man! How can we be given commandments stating that "thy shall not kill", but if a man lies with another man as with a women, he shall surely be "PUT TO DEATH?"
And dont tell me that its ok, because its "punishment" beacause thats what HELL IS FOR! Christians will try to play semantics and make a difference between "murder" and "killing someone because they commited a sin". But this argument serves no purpose because culture and group think account for the difference between one person commiting sin, or a justifiable act. One mans terrorist is another mans martyr!

Making blanket statements such as this is pretty similar to an infant throwing a tantrum cuz someone else got to pick the cartoon. Science doesn't prove anything but natural laws, systems, matter and evidences that were already there and would be in place with or without "science" calling attention to them. Scientific discovery in the genres of biology, astrology, geology and meteorology are found to have scriptural support first written of in ancient texts by men inspired by God who had no education. Explain that. Men of science at one time were men of faith and modern day scientists of every field of research are coming around to considering seriously the evidence which establishes intelligent design due to the advances of technology allows them to see the complexity in all natural systems.
