Which existence is more vital:
the one in which we tread upon the crust of the earth
or the one created in the deep recesses of our mind.

Just really enjoing my little piece of virtual reality and one too many diet cokes.

Also thinking of how some people create for themselves a mental heaven or hell which becomes thier reality

When our minds reach the breaking point our bodies begin to fail but when we are in our greatest physical pain we can sometimes still escape to a happier place in our minds... Ultimately we somehow need to balance them both but if I were forced to choose I'd take the one in my mind

Well our bodies will fade eventually, so of course it would be your eternal components that would be considered most vital. That is the quintessential question of all time, whether or not your energies equate to an eternal entity.

The value in life for each person greatly depends on their perceptions. We choose how to perceive all the data our brains process. So whatever reality we are in starts in the mind, or even deeper (where do thoughts begin?) - the soul. If we aren't right spiritually it totally affects the outcome of our lives...of course the key to success and contentment lies within. Some people are healthy, wealthy and they are still miserable and cannot maintain relationships. And some people are poor, unhealthy and they flourish in life because they perceive things positively. You can change the scenery in the physical world but vitality begins in the core.
