Right now Im using cafe theme, browns and blues in our apartment. We cant afford to paint the tiles. In the new house, cabinets are white, floor is neutral, so are the appliances. i dont really want to change themes or at least have a total new look.

The trick to working around something undesirable in decorating is to make it look deliberate.

Just add a few new pink additions to your accessories like a few coffee cups. You can also stencil some cafe words like "Latte" etc. around the border of your room in pink lettering.

Perhaps get some inexpensive old table clothes and fold them in half so that they look like a V shape and then just put the folded table clothes on the rods.
You might see about looking into getting some clothes used for drying dishes and hang them up around the kitchen.
Hope that helps - I am not real good at having great ideas.

I think the cafe theme would still go I would try to paint at least one wall a soft mocha that would offset the pink

with a lot of patience, contact paper would be a good thing to use to cover the pink. you just have to make sure to never place a hot object directly on the countertop... not really all that practical huh? if you are careful and use pot holders and place mats to set hot items on, it will work
