you can do what all these ppl are saying, and take him to the vet...or if you don't have the cash right now, you can help him be able to "poo" by changing his diet...maybe the dog food you're giving him isn't working with his digestive system; making him constipated...that's probably why he's crying like that....my puppy was like that too...then when he finally went, it came out hard...no wonder...so yea, feed him something that'll be able to make his stools softer...fiber based...:)

There are products you can get that are full of fibre and you mix them into their food.
Or you could buy a better brand of dog food that already has fib.
That's what the vet will tell you to do i would think.
My friends dog does this.
But take the dog to the vet because she/he will have some tablets that will help straightaway.

Definately take him to the vet. My dog used to cry and try to get at her behind. Turned out her anal glands were full and needed to be expressed. I don't know if that is what's wrong with your dog, but either way you need to take him to the vet.

We had the same problem with one of our rat terriers. The vet told us to mix some Mucinex (fiber) in his food. It alleviated the problem. I strongly recommend that you take your dog to your vet though.
