FYI, ONCE THE ENAMEL IS COMPLETELY FORMED DRINKING MILK HAS NO EFFECT ON THE ENAMEL.
BUT I'VE HEARD ON TV THAT THE CALCIUM IN THE MILK STRENGTHENS TEETH?
THAT IS TV. TRUTH AND KNOWLEDGE ARE SOMETHING ELSE.
WHAT DO I MEAN?
THE REASON WHY CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO DRINK MILK IS FOR THE FORMATION OF THEIR ADULT TEETH. ONLY BY HAVING A SUFFICIENT SUPPLY OF DIETARY CALCIUM IN THE DIET WILL THE FORMATION OF ENAMEL BE ADEQUATE.
ONCE THE ENAMEL IS FULLY FORMED, THE CALCIUM IN MILK IS FUTILE FOR ENAMEL STRENGTH.
ONE SUBSTANCE WHICH IS USEFUL FOR STRENGTHENING ENAMEL IS FLUORIDE.
WHY?
FLUORIDE MAKES THE ENAMEL MORE RESISTANT TO DE-CALCIFICATION, AND THE FORMATION OF CAVITIES.

Did you know Man is the only animal that drinks the milk of another animal.
There are other good food items that have a higher percentage of calcium in it.
Salmon, canned
Sardines
Tempeh, a soy, or miso product
fortified soy milk
dried seaweed
almonds
spinach
rhubarb
collard greens
There are so many more healthier options than animal products!

The calcium and vitamin d in milk is good for your teeth, I would think they would strengthen your teeth. However, it's good for other reasons as well. Here's what yahoo health said:
Mozzarella and other cheeses, peanuts, yogurt, milk, and sugar-free chewing gum (especially gum that contains xylitol) are good for your teeth. They help clear your mouth of harmful sugars and protect against plaque. These make great after-meal snacks.

I don't think so. My dentist told me about something called xyletol, it's in some gums at the regular market, they can help build enamel, and even slow some tooth decay.
