there's a nice $9 black licorice lightening soap that can fade your freckles as it did to me, and kept it that way.. it's safe and potent.. for a small amount with good results, it's your best bet -

I had excessive freckles growing up. I tried the lemon juice, etc. I'm not sure if it worked, but they faded as I've gotten older (I'm 36), and I hardly see them on my face anymore. Best thing to do is cover em up. I've heard Bare Essentials mineral make-up is great for coverage. I'm going to try it soon, and see if it covers my acne/rosacea.

My friend has freckles and goes to a dermatologist to have them removed. She goes back every year or so to repeat the process.
