In what ways can sin/evil/Satan attack? Even for the non-believers, I guess you can turn the question to mean, in what ways to BAD people with BAD intentions attack?
Let's face it, this society today is warped and sick, and there are many negative people with negative agendas.
But now onto the believers and the real question. I'm convinced that fallen people or people who don't believe in God, will have a MUCH easier time doing corrupt things, and won't care of the reprecussions. Today's society makes it EASY not to believe in God anyways. It's virtually a godless society.
Does satan use other people and places, even things/symbols, to throw off the believers, and confuse them, and try to make them fall?
Is he out to basically destroy our hope and vision and souls?
What's Satan's ultimate agenda. (for the believers, since the others will make fun of this) Is it to hurt us? Kill us? Hurt us and kill us? Make us bitter, angry, and hopeless? Make us do suicide?
WHAT!

What kind of schemes does the Devil use against us today?
While the particulars will be different for each person and circumstance, the goal is always the same. He wants to separate us from God’s presence and from His will for our lives. In Rev 12:9 the Devil is called the deceiver of the whole world. A deceiver starts out by telling the truth. A deceiver chooses to talk about selected truths while ignoring other modifying truths that would present a different overall picture of a circumstance. By starting out with the truth, the deceiver gets the person who is listening to start agreeing with what they are hearing. The mind of the listener gets caught up in the train of thought that the deceiver is trying to get them to take a ride on. Then somewhere along the journey he slips in a lie or two and hopes that the listener will be like someone who is staring out the window of a train on a long journey. At first the passenger was looking closely at the scenery to see what was going on but after a while the images just pass by in a blur and their mind starts to receive them without much consideration of what it is that is coming into their brain through their eyes.
If the Devil can put ideas in the hearts of Judas or Ananias then he can certainly try to infect our thoughts too. In Hebrews 5:11-14 the author chides the readers for being baby Christians who have not grown in how to use the Word of God to discern good from evil. If we want to follow Jesus then we need to equip ourselves with the Sword of the Spirit and practice using it in our thought life before we make decisions about what to think, feel, say and do. In 1 Peter 5:8 he tells us to be sober minded and alert. We can’t put our minds on cruise control and think that the enemy won’t notice. The Holy Spirit will help us by reminding us of God’s Word but we have to have something to be reminded of and we have to heed that still small voice that God will often use to warn us when we are about to make a mistake(John 14:26, 1 Kings 19:11-13). If we feel the conviction of the Spirit and say “I know that’s what the Bible says but…” then it’s just like a boxer who ignores the coach and gets decked because he decided to rely upon his own thinking instead of someone who could see and know what was really going on in the fight.
In Rev 12:10 the Devil is called the accuser of the brethren. In James 3:1-15 we read about demonic “wisdom” characterized by jealousy and selfish ambition. The Devil tries to stir up strife and division in the body of Christ in order to get people into a place where their support is cut off and they become easy prey. Read John 21:15-22 to see what Jesus told Peter when he was tempted to focus on John instead of his own walk with Christ.
Jesus also said that the Devil plants counterfeit Christians in this world when the watchmen are asleep(Matt 13:24-30, 37-43). While we are not to judge the hearts of other people we are told to compare their actions to God’s Word and to keep away from Christians who are not walking the walk of faith (1 Cor 5:11-13). In Job 1:14-17 we see the Devil using sinners to come against Job’s faith and the evil one uses that scheme over and over again because it often works against the unwary. Job didn’t understand why bad things were happening to him but he didn’t decide to rebel against God and when his trials were finally over he was blessed with twice what he had started with.
The Devil lies about God and His love for us. If we think that God is angry with us and that He doesn’t love us anymore then instead staying close to our shepherd who knows all things, we wander off looking to see what we can find on our own. Read Hebrews 13:5-6, Romans 8:26-39
He lies about God’s plan for our lives. He lies about God’s provision for our lives. When we have legitimate needs and we wonder how and when God is going to meet them the Devil tries to worry us and hurry us so that we give up on God and try to do things the Devil’s way. He doesn’t tell us that we are following his plan. He tricks us into thinking that it’s our own plan and just like he tried to do with Jesus he will twist the Scriptures in order to make it seem OK.
Just like a Lion lets out a roar in order to frighten and confuse and scatter a flock of animals before it pounces on an isolated victim, so too does the Devil use fear to make us easy prey for his schemes. When we have real worries we have to have mature believers in our lives whom we can go to for godly counsel and prayer. If the Devil can get us to doubt what the Bible teaches us about God’s care for his children and isolate us from the body of Christ then we can be driven into a trap like a dumb animal.

One way. Look at the speck in your bothers eye and not the Log in your own. Dont try and improve your own path. Point fingers tell others what sin is and what it isnt. Worship a Book and not God.
Your right most churches are godless. They worship religion not God. THey worship a book not God.
You want to find satan. he is in a pulpit telling people that that one is a sinner and that one is godless and that one is a whore.
The last thing he wants is you to have a path to God that isnt through him and his buiding or his basket.
From the sound of your Question YOU will probably be meeting Satan this sunday morning.

I truly believe satan willuse whatever we have audibly expressed aloud, that is as a reliable source of info on what makes us tick, what we tend to put faith in, or not , what we fear most, and since he is the father of lies, mixing half truth w/lies just to make it palatable enough for who or whatever to swallow for his cause, thus creating dissention , division, by whatever part of our armor we've allowed to be vulnerable. However, he is a fallen angel, a creation of God's, NOT the polar opposite as many would have you believe. Though we may be tested, though we may suffer, God promises not to give us more than we can handle, and that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Also

He attacks your mind first. What you place in your mind thru all your past experiences, learning, pains and everything else you have absorbed throughout your lifetime are subjected to be used by good or evil.
Do what you will - is the biggest motto of satan & evil

About the only people I know that profess satan on a large scale are Christians and Jews and Muslims . Most people wouldn't have thought of using superstition to re-enforce their religious needs .

Satan has growing long list of ways to attack us. He will attack us, family, our loved ones, to try to crack us down into non-believing. I think it is important to learn not how Satan works, but how to be spiritually prepared. If you continue acquiring accurate knowledge of Bible truth, we can be fully be prepared for any of Satan's attack.

Satan's main weapon is deception. Comes in ideas, philosophies and opinions. However, virtually impossible to spot without the indwelling Spirit of Christ - and even then far from easy. He wants you in hell; by whatever means.
