The best hand to go up against ANY big pocket pair(namely Aces, Kings, or Queens, sometimes Jacks) are small pocket pairs and suited connectors. Here are the reasons why for each:

For the small pairs: So you can see the flop and try to flop a set, or three of a kind. Therefore, you can play very passive against the aces and make the aces go aggressive on you so you can pick up a very nice pot. However, if you miss on the flop when against aces, it's an easy fold, and you lose very little on that pot. The aces don't gain much on that hand.

For the suited connectors: You will have the chance to draw for a big hand that not even aces can beat, a straight or a flush. With a suited connector though, try not to go for two pair here because even though your two pair is best against is one pair of aces, he can still beat you if he/she catches an ace or if the board pairs a card that isn't yours, therefore he has a higher two pair. Also for the same reason if you miss the flop with a suited connector, it's easy to fold and give up less money. A suited connector of 8,7 has always been the top suited connector against aces.

Middle suited connectors like 76 89 are probably best because they can make a flush or a straight, but realistically you are still only winning about 23% of the time. Other pocket pairs are likely to win just 20% of the time.

There are really very few situations when you want to be all in pre-flop against aces.

It is not just suited connectors it is exactly the 5,6, suited
Since he has an ace, you get to use your 6 to win when a wheel comes up besides all of the outs for straights and flush.
He has 2 outs, you have plenty. But this hand with the 6 has more outs against someone with an ace, than any other.

Suited connectors. Like 9-10 h. That way you can hit a flush, a straight, and still have a chance to hit two pair or trips if you get lucky. gives you the most outs against aces.

the best thing you can do is fold

although if you can get in cheap with suited connectors and hit them you can nail a big pot.
