Try improving your posture. Sitting up and standing up straighter will make you appear to be taller.

Also, try yoga or pilates. It stretches out your muscles--making you appear longer and leaner.

Try volumizing your hair--giving it some height will give an illusion that you are taller.

I know you said not shoes--but that's how I disguise myself to be taller. I wear heels. When I was younger and wore flats-i would fold socks and put them in the heel.

Well according to legend, Michael Jordan drank massive amounts of milk and then hung upside down from a pull-up bar to make himself taller (I kid you not).

At any rate I've never tested it, but if you're looking for something extreme, there you go. Otherwise just eat a balanced diet and exercise and that will maximize your body's growth potential skeletally, muscularly, etc.

Have tall parents. Seriously, if you're still growing, and are too short for your age, get your parents to take you to a doctor. It may be that you lack growth hormone, and if they give it to you (via injections on a regular basis), you will grow significantly. If you aren't lacking the hormone, just make sure you eat lots (especially protein), and don't exercise excessively, as this can stunt growth. Also, DON'T smoke! Good luck!
