I work late hours therefore, I don't get to eat dinner until after 8:00 pm. In addition, I don't have the option of eating a "healthy" meal at work. To compensate for eating after 8:00 pm, could I wait two hours before I go to bed to avoid gaining weight? No dumbass or smartass comments please:)

not eating after certain time of the day is old wifes tales.
dietitians and nutritionists who follow researches will all tell you the same thing - it doesnt matter what time of the day you eat, as long as you dont consume more calories than spend during the day you are not gona gain any weight.
as for eating at work - make healthy lunch and snacks at home to take with you - e.g. whole wheat pita/wrap/bread with lean meat and veggies (no sauce), trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, fruit etc.
also updated info - eating 5-6 small meals a day is way better than 3 big ones - that way your body gets energy when it needs them and doesnt have any extra left to store in fat reserves - keeps your blood sugar more stable.

There is a common myth about gaining weight by eating right before you go to bed. Its simply not true, as long as your daily calorie intake is equal to amount you used through the day youll stay the same weight. So you can eat a little bit all day and eat like a horse at night as long is number is the same. The problem with that is you cannot do that for the rest of your life and youll eventually gain weight because your hungry during the day and eventually start eating more. This is why people think you gain weight by eating before sleep, because 9 people out of 10 usually have there biggest meal at the end of the day. You should not eat that much at night and maybe eater a bigger lunch so your not that hungry in the evening. So your answer is go ahead at eat whenever you feel like it after work, just dont eat alot and stay away from sugary foods and youll be fine.

You need clarify why you can't eat a healthy meal at work? Are you saying you can't bring in your own meal to eat? Also so long as you eat 3 small meals a day with a healthy snack between each meal and before bed you will be fine. Just remember that you need to burn more calories than you take in.

Jenny, that's a great idea, do some walking, but one warning, 2 hours is overdoing it a bit and don't do it alone after dark. Get a friend or family member to go along with you.
