Just stay away from calories, one pund is 1,000 calories. It's recomended that you constantly excerise 45 min. a day. If yur just beggining, 30.

A good diet is very simple. fruits and veggies, as near raw as you can consume them, no meat of any kind or very limited. Preferably no animal by- products. NOTHING FRIED. Nothing white. Avoid soda's they destroy your bones.

When you shop stay away from the isles that have junk food and that is anything pre-prepared for you. Get the base ingredients. No packaged prefab foods. They are overpriced and full of chemicals. You will need to shop more often so you can have fresh produce.

I personally am not a vegan or vegetarian and do like meat but I have small portions and do it baked, grilled or stir fried with my veggies. I stir fry the slivers of meat in a little olive oil until they are done, with some onion, garlic and sesame seeds then add the chopped veggies for a few minutes toss and eat. Yummy, Yummy and health

I've read that 90% of disease in the US would go away if we actually ate a good diet. We are the most overfed, unnourished people in the world. Our children are suffering from diseases by 6 years old that used to be considered "old people" diseases. And that included hardening of the arteries. and type 2 dibetes. That's sad but that's McDonalds. When our "fast food" chains go to foreign countries, the national health in that country will decline. They will start to have diseases they never had before. Sad Sad Sad.
We don't have to go to war, just ship them our fast food.

You want to GAIN or LOSE weight?

Want to gain MUSCLE? Protein, meats, eggs, add fish oil capsules, Cod Liver Oil capsules, super B complex, potassium tabs, magnesium tabs.

Bananas have too much sugar. Fruits ok, veggies ok.

Potatoes, rice too much starch, alone.

Rice with beans makes a complete protein, ok

Breads, pastries, cookies? Never.

Need fiber, take 2 teaspoons Metamusil/Equate only twice a week.

Whey protein mix with fruits for smoothies, use 1% to taste.

LOSE weight? Same, less at meals, light weight, more reps.
MUST exercise to lose weight, keep off for life.

pretty simple.

Fishes have mercury, eat light.
