Don't freak out just yet, you will be fine. I am not one to preach, but God made you how you are for a reason, and you are beautiful now, and will be more so in the years to come. Being a teenager, especially just becoming one is the absolutely most difficult time for a girl, ever! I was a bit solid as a teenager, and had really big boobs at 12 and pretty much through 13 was trying to hide myself from everyone. But, I started to grow a bit taller, which sounds like you will too over the next 2 years or so, and I grew into myself. I also made sure I exercised a lot, like joining the dance team, playing football or basketball with the boys in the neighborhood, and riding my bike and swimming in the neighbors' pool whenever I could. I also made sure I always drank plenty of water, never and sodas, especially not diet, and hardly ate junk. I knew other girls who were depressed and ate and ate, and just got heavy and more depressed. I had great friends who loved me and were great with me when I was short and heavier, and when I grew into my body and was less different. I made sure I had a great attitude all the time, and knew that my body would be changing for the better cause I took care of it. So don't think you are going to be turning into a huge rollie pollie that everyone will make fun of. Do your thing, exercise, and watch what you eat. Try to have 5-6 smart, healthy, small sized meals a day to help speed up your metabolism and cut out all the crap, or at least 6 days a week. Good Luck!

at 13 you shouldn't be worried about being overweight or going to the gym. Just stay active and hang out with your friends because there really is no simple way to lose weight. If you eat healthy and are active then it don't worry about whether or not you fit into a petite, just be happy that your healthy. Some people are just big boned. But if you do want some advice on how to prevent putting on weight, then my best suggestion is try not to eat anything white. For example, white bread, sugar, mayonaise, ranch, pasta, sour cream. my knowledge is that those things aren't the greatest!!

i dont think that ur fat dont feel bad about urself u still young and have like a million chance to lose weeigth especially by you being a teen now its so easy for u but all i can say is go for a long walk run if u can ride bike drink alot of water no soda no suger u only eat when ur hungry do some kind of sports dont sit around all day and dont worry u are a beautiful young lady no matter what and have all ur life all that chances to do whatever u want good luck

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

hmmm.... thats not that fat. its really not. im currently in the process of losing weight. its not easy, and size wise, i was identical to you. that said, ive lost 20 pounds and now im 123 pounds, 5'4. heres what you do: watch calories, not so much fat, get enough complex carbs and fiber; and go for walks, i walk 4 miles a day. and it works, you feel better.
and i know this sounds absurdly cliche', but ya know what? you have to start with the notion that you are beautiful as you are, but you want to make some improvments. it makes it so much easier to lose weight that way then to constantly tell yourself that you are fat. im 16 .

"Alternative medicine" has become the politically correct term for questionable practices formerly labeled quack and fraudulent.
