I wanted to let everyone know that I work for Hospice, and not one person on their deathbed will say God isn't real. Even those that didn't believe in Him change their minds.

The reason this is under parenting is because people teach their kids religion, and others call it lying to their kids.

My basic point is to say you won't find one person on their deathbed denying there's a God. It's not really a question, but a statement.

Actually, yes, this a Christian area, but also a lot of muslims here as well.

Let me correct myself. Everyone I'VE worked with on their deathbed hasn't denied there being a God, even those who were once atheist.

Christianity is not a lie, it's about Truth. Precisely because it is about truth, not many people want to be fully Christians. The truth hurts and not many people want to be hurt. Christianity speaks about moral uprightness which many people hate to follow. Because of this, elsewhere in the bible Jesus said, " I did not come to bring peace, but division." Why? This is because even the so called Christians are divided in their interpretations on how to follow the teachings of Jesus. The harder the teaching, the closer it is to the truth. No wonder some preachers water down the gospel to cater the gullible minds of those who understand Christianity as an easy way.

Hosea 13:2 Human Sacrifice as a sin offering---ABOMINATION

Jeremiah 32:35 Offering up such sacrifice on HIGH PLaces, like Mt. Calvary---another ABOMINATION

Leviticus 7:22 Eating of Blood, Communion---another ABOMINATION

Deut 13/ Matt 23:15 Converting People--ABOMINAITON

Christianity is based upon the precepts of man and the teachings of the 'false prophet' Paul...See Deuteronomy 13. Basically, when a person preaches no to follow the Laws of god and advocates an OTHER god like Paul does with 'Jesus' the Law names them a False Prophet.

One of the reasons Paul says NOT follow the old laws is because its the OLD Laws that make Christianity a LIE.

The 'sons of Ephraim', canaanites, in Hosea and Habakuk tried it all before and were condemned. One should note that Ephraim was the son of Joseph and born in the city of Bethel, also called the 'right hand of the father'

Hab 2:16 the cup from the Lord’s right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

One of the teachings of 'Jesus' does come to mind though..
Mat 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way easy, that leads to destruction, and those that enter it are many. For the gate is narrow, and the way hard, that leads to life, and those that find it are few.

'Jesus' says...
Mat 19:17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.”

Paul says...
Gal 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned

The Prophets of old or even today can see spiritual vision. It is because in human sense, they have a third eye so to speak. This 3rd eye is actually their sense of wonder. And through the HOLY SPIRIT, they see wonderful creations all around them like the light, the planets, the sun and the universe. And the micro world say men living in the billionth- billionth- billionth of a second, yet we do not perceive this time occurring:before our very eyes or a billion, billlion of years which we dont have the opportunity of experience and perceive them as well. And these are only examples of the servants of GOD seeing them with their third eye or their sense of wonder. Thus, at this point in man's history, we have a book of wonder called the Bible and the christianity that it espouses. Additionally, Christianity is a belief of life beyond the grave; a life even unto eternity or eternal life. And THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is the WORD OF GOD about these divine plan for mankind. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the MESSIAH who have redeemed mankind from eternal death or damnation. HE is mankind's savior. For witnesses other than Christians, the Prophet Mohammad in a vision was brought by Archangel Gabriel to heaven and saw THE LORD JESUS CHRIST standing in the right hand of GOD; while Mohammad remained with the audience in a heavenly assembly among the Prophets. St John the baptist was also a witness of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST when he declared HIM as THE LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sins of mankind. And another witness is the Prophet Isaiah 9:6 that states that the one who will be born of a virgin woman will be called MIGHTY GOD, WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR (HOLY SPIRIT), EVERLASTING FATHER and PRINCE OF PEACE. These are one of the many reasons that one should believe the Bible and Christianity as well. THANKS GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD

I've known plenty of people who didn't believe in ANY religion on their deathbed, never mind christianity..

Just because someone believes something, it doesn't automatically make it so..!

The real afterlife for ALL creatures is the legacy of healthy, well adjusted and successful offspring, and that should be enough, ..assuming you have actually done your best in this regard...!

I say, do your good for the world and the environment as if you only have this one life, and deal with death when the time comes..
All living creatures die, and the notion of only humans being somehow "special", and even then only those who have the "correct" faith, is more than absurd..

Christianity like all religions is a conglomerate of wisdom passed down the ages, see before the dawn of science the science of the day was philosophy, or religion. You didnt really ask a question here though you just made a few statements, as for "lie or truth" what kind of a half assed question is that it can be said to be both a lie and a truth.

Neither..the Bible is a testament of the truth during that time. Fortunately the world changes. It says right there in the margin on every page.."Testament".

And God doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do with religion.

It's wonderful that you devote yourself to such a good cause and what not, but where do you do your work? I'm guessing in a predominately Christian area.

There are people who die without accepting god. Christianity is the most popular religion in the U.S. and if you knew you were about to die, you might just become "saved" just to cover your bases, just in case. Who knows what these people truly believed, but right now, the specific religion of Christianity just doesn't work for me.

I been with dying people who were not believers and who argued and cursed God til their final breath.

Perhaps in your particular facility everyone you have met has decided to trust in the Lord at the end, but I don't believe that's a universal rule.

The fear of dying is typical in humans. But many have a false sense of security. When the chips are down, the mood changes, and suddenly the mind starts with doubt. The doubt of what they said all their life, and what they did all their life.
