well in my opinoin. if i were a guy and u knew i liekd u. i'd wanna be treated just the same as u treat every other guy [= cause would u liked it if u told this guy u liked u like dhim and he just STOPPED flirting with u and did it to everyone around u or like STOPPED hugging you but hugged everyone arround u. idts. What is your intention? Do you like him too and want to let him know this? As a guy, if I liked a girl in a romantic way and she hugged me, I would definitely like it and take it as encouragement to ask you out.
If you only like him as a friend, it's best to stay away from hugs so that you don't give him the wrong impression and lead him on.

It usually takes more than a hug to turn on an interested party. I mean, u can hug anyone. But in all seriousness, anything u do for ur crush can turn them on, but there are clear physical actions that are meant to turn one on, and that's what usually turns a guy on, because there's no confusing those things.

if the guy really likes you i would advise you not to hug him as much as possible. It's gives mixed messages, especially hope.
When you hug him, he may get a whif of your hair or feel the curves of your body,which could very much turn him on.
Keep your distance for your own sake.
