Theres this guy Ive been friends with for about 3 years now. But he just recently told me he has liked me for a long time. So, we've gone out on a few dates. He dedicated the song "Superstar" by Usher to me. He keeps saying he's not waisting his time. He's ready to find someone to settle down with and start a family. He is 30 years old, so I assume he's serious about that. At the same time I kind of feel like he's not serious. He hasnt said anything to make me feel like that though. He keeps saying he wants to spend more time with me. And I work 3rd shift but he works 1st shift. Hes asked me twice now if I could change shifts at work. But after all this. The next weekend after we had sex for the first time, we were suppose to go out. Well, 30 minutes before we were suppose to meet he said he got a call saying his friend was in the hospital froma car accident. My question is, do you think he wants to be with me or does he just want sex? Any advice!!!

If his friend was in an accident and he had to rush to be by his side he better have tears in his eyes when you see him next. It's also possible that he just played you. If he was after you shouldn't he be chasing by now?

Wait a second, you're this freaked out because a car accident interrupted a date? Look, unless this becomes a pattern, or you know he's lying about the accident you have nothing to worry about yet. You two might work different shifts, but you both still have some time off in the evenings and should be able to squeeze in a coffee date or something during the week. If he refuses to rearrange anything in his life for you, or he starts missing a lot of dates then you can start to worry. But do be reasonable about his schedule, if he's a really busy guy it can take a few weeks before he can change anything.

Have you asked him how his friend is doing? It sounds legit to me. It's not like that is all you do together is it? You do other things together than just sex right? If he just wanted sex he would not have asked you to change shifts at work in order to spend time with you. If you are feeling it then go for it.

Seriously, I read your post.....don't act up. Stay cool and don't be too available and calling all time. He had you (finally), now he know you will say YES - so let him decide, don't ever make him feel like you are pushing ---Do your own stuff / don't call everytime you get a change - go out with other friends - be your own person, you'll see that he will come around with a ring. Good luck.

Hi Eran, What I would do is check with the friend just call and ask how he is doing and if he was in the hospital than OK but if not some guys will do or say anything at all to get sex...So good luck with this one honey....Bob..

I would give him the benefit of the doubt at least for this time if its a regular occurrence where every time ya ll are suppose to meet then chances are yeah he is just using you for sex.

If that was the first time he did that, then calm down. But if he keeps on making excuses, then be careful. But right now, I think you're overanalyzing it. Good luck and see if his friend is okay...

Look... I don't even have to read your input... He's a guy. He wants sex! It's that simple. I'm a guy, and that's our nature. Sorry, but that's the way we're made.

Never give it up to a guy unless he has a lot to sacrifice.

I think your question is out of the scenario but I guess it's too shallow to judge based on the description you've just mention. You're the only one who can answer your question...
