I respect that we all have different views and I try to understand what brought a person to the opinion they hold. What I don't respect is anyone that thinks they are above the rest and just needs to bring everyone else around to their way of thinking. That type of inflated sense of self importance I have no common ground with. I guess for now we can all agree to disagree!!

I've found lot's of common ground with Anti's.Some respect me I think and some don't.Many Anti's just like Pro's don't like to be shouted down or called names. When anyone comes across with an attitude it sets people's backs up.So I find trying to understand, really understand, where the Anti's are coming from and give them respect for respectful answers they aren't all that different from Pro's.We have many common grounds. We just need to listen to each other.

I think you have to look at it as a horse trade, not an agreement. You didn't do so well with the big business types and the Senate Bill, now did you?
We will never agree that it is ok or justified to come illegally and take services we subsidize for our own people, to the point where those services fail our own people. However, some of us might trade a solution, starting tomorrow for legalization of those noncriminal nongangmembers here today. However, it would have to be a real solution that focusses on the impacts of illegal immigration's numbers on our services. Cutting off all benefits to illegals going forward except for emergency health care prior to deportation. Asking for proof of legal presence for all services, going forward. Employer verification and real enforcement. More funding for ICE and border patrol, securing the border, a visa exit tracking system, and if any family of those illegally here are allowed to come, then some corresponding cut in overall immigration numbers because our schools are already failing and our hospitals are closing, and the demographic is one that will take out more than it will put in to social security and other services.
You tell me. Is there any common ground?

No. It's difficult to find common ground when one group accepts and justifies illegal actions and one does not.

The common ground here IS the LEGAL procedures OF immigration AND the border that should be seperating the two (legals and illegals) !!

I don't know anyone who is for illegal immigration. Its called illegal for a reason, because it is.
Having rallies in support for illegal immigration is like having rallies in support of murder or child molestation.
We don't have to show our support against illegal immigration, it's a given.
I think the mutual respect could start with them respecting our laws.
