Thank you for bring that to my attention, as for what I think about it I am afraid I can not share my thoughts without breaking community guidelines.

I swear there are things going on in our country which strike me as truly surreal...I mean truly...as in I am not wondering what is wrong with them, I am wondering why I am hallucinating because there is no way this is actually happening.

I think the judge is being over cautions -- but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Constitutional due process requires a certain amount of notice and opportunity to be heard, which also includes opportunity to correct a problem once new laws are put into effect.

If the letters go out, and prosecutions go forward based on them, those companies have a due process challenge that could tie up the courts or even exempt them from suffering penalties.

The judge (in ruling the letters cannot go out YET) is merely slowing down the process to give the companies a chance to comply with existing laws before the new punishments would be imposed. This makes it more likely the companies will actually end up being punished in the long run.

Sometimes, in the legal world, there is an advantage to going slow and being a little cautious -- it often makes the desired goal more achievable in the end. This is only a temporary delay, and ends up helping DHS in the long run.

Here is what I think.

1. September Congress back in session.
2. GWB asking for Congress to be responsible and expand the NAFTA trading agreements
3. Let's say it passes
4. Judge doesn't have to make a decision on Oct 1 any longer.

Any questions?

Get a hold of your Senators, and Congress members and tell them to VOTE NO on the Expansion of NAFTA Trade Agreements. Or the USA is through as a country.

The last sentence of the article sums it up best.

The Department of Homeland Security has vowed to fight what it calls "an obvious attempt to impede the department's ability to enforce our immigration laws."

Too bad that there are organizations like the civil liberties union in this country. I used to think they were a good organization but their name pops up defending things like illegal immigration and NAMBLA. They are one of the biggest problems in our fight with illegal immigration.

San Fagcisco, yeah. I thought so. The most liberal place in America. I think this STINKS!! It is so funny that big business and a big liberal outfit are working together. Aren't they supposed to be at odds?

This is unbelievable. Our country has been invaded and a judge won’t allow the law to be enforced?
