Not a religion but Humanism is a philosophy of life inspired by humanity and guided by reason. It provides the basis for a fulfilling and ethical life without religion.
Humanists make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values.
Humanists see no convincing evidence for gods, the supernatural, or life after death.
Humanists believe that moral values are properly founded on human empathy and scientific understanding.
Humanists believe we must live this life on the basis that it is the only life we'll have -- that, therefore, we must make the most of it for ourselves, each other, and our world.
Humanist philosophies have arisen separately in many different cultures over many thousands of years. Whether or not they use the term humanism, tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people around the world agree with the humanist philosophy of living a happy and productive life based on reason and compassion.

Religion has nothing to do with PEACE. Religion is a weapon in the war against Mother Nature. Let me explain:
In the beginning, there was chaos. Lightning was flashing and the river was rising and fire was erupting out of the earth, which moved on occaision. This was obviously caused by unseen spirits, who might be appeased with a virgin or something less useful like a chicken. Appeals for mercy became prayers and witch doctors became village leaders. Communities were formed so that many voices could make a louder appeal.
But then, Father Abraham had an idea: maybe all that chaos is just Mother Nature and all the spirits were really just one spirit. And maybe with a little praise, say 5 times a day, this great spirit could help in the fight against Mother Nature.
Prayers for and against rain sometimes worked. As evidence of the efficacy of prayer, one incidental success outweighed 100 failures. Besides, there was no other way to affect precipitation, so why not pray?
And so religion took root and flourished. The most interesting thing about religion and its hold on the minds of so many is the art it has inspired. Atheists could never produce such music, drama, literature, and paintings. For that we atheists must be grateful and humble. Maybe Jehova/Allah/Krishna/etc. is not a rain-maker, but He's got rhythm.
God is still asked to intercede against Mother Nature whenever bacterial infections or drought is to be fought. God is also asked to favor one side or another in a conflict. Or to bring the conflict to an end, at which point it becomes a religion of PEACE. Mysterious are the ways of deities and of infinite use.

Wicca seems to be the most peaceful i have found. I think it is possible for a spiritual path to be peaceful but at the same time you do have to defend yourself. But i think people in a lot of various religions have a hard time drawing the line between self-defense and outright attacking someone else.
I am still looking for answers myself but the pagan paths seem to more peaceful than others i have looked into.

Religion can be considered "peacful" in a way. However, it is not religion, alone, that is responsible for all of society's ills but rather these religions' fervent adherrents that commit such atrocities in the name of their faith. Technically, any religion can claim to be peaceful and strive for a humanly impossible utopian dream; it's up to its faithful followers to achieve true peace here on earth without resorting to instlling fear nor force upon its members or others outside its influence.

"Where there is religion there is division. As long as religion exists war will be right there beside it."
where there are people there will be war. i personally believe that most every religion attempts to be a religion of peace. but i know for a fact that Jesus has been the only one to bring peace in my life.

A true religion of peace would have to be one that practices and encourages peace but is willing to fight for it as well. A religion of peace can be a cause of contention, but still be a religion of peace.
For that definition, the only religion that fits is the Catholic Church. Its two greatest tenets are 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and 2) love your neighbor as yourself.
If people really followed these rules, there would be complete peace; because a necessary consequence of really loving God and seeing that He loves you is that you have to love your neighbor, otherwise you can't love God. Who wants to fight the people they love?

The religion of peace will only happen when Jesus comes back to Earth. Otherwise there will be disagreements. Once Jesus returns, the truth will be out, and who could argue then?

It's funny... All religions claim to practice peace, but all feel that their religion is better than all the others, thus causing chaos. Then each religion has "radicals" who believe that the only way to prove that their beliefs and ideas are the best is by violence.
