To let in more or less light. If you need to see more or it is dark they will dialate open so that your eyes can take in all the available light, if it is really bright they get smaller b/c you don't need all that light to see.

Interesting Fact- If you are talking to someone a way to find out if they are attracted to you is to look at their pupils. Peoples pupils get bigger when they are looking at something they find pretty.

It depends on how much light there is in the setting - when you're out and about in bright conditions your pupils will grow smaller to take in less light and when it's darker, it will go bigger to take in more light

The dimmer the light- the wider the pupils get so as to gather in more light to see... The pupils shrink in bright light so as not to get over-whelmed by it...

When you are in bright light the shrink so they take in less light. When they are in the dark they get bigger to collect the most light possible. Its just your eyes adjudting to the amount of light it want to take in. Hope i helped ^^ !!!

They dialate so that your eyes will be more comfortable in whatever light or darkness that they are in. It is very good that they dialate.

ive learned when u lie they desolate aswell (i think thats how parents know your lying)
