It is good to hear you are a practicing Baptist. In a sense practice do make it right but in what terms, as a knowledge person or enlightened.

You can become a knowledgeable person and be a qualified to be a pastor or a theologian but it don't matter if you are not enlightened. The Goal is difference.

Being a baptist is about loving God, and believing that He sent His only son to die for us because He loves us too. There is no getting it right or wrong, just believe that, and accept Christ as your Savior, and you are 'getting it right'! I hope that makes sence!!

ka-boom CHING!

Short story: I grew up in SW Louisiana, where it's 95% Catholic, at least. The Baptists have to be pretty staunch just to survive.

But my little brother married a Baptist girl. Her mother (Matilda) was very strict. One day she brought her little nephew, age 5 or so, over to my mom's house to visit with my mom and my brother. Matilda had obviously been coaching the little kid on the way over. At one point this little dude asks my mom out of nowhere: "Was you sprinkled or dunked?"

My mom said "Huh?"

"Sprinkled or dunked," the little guy said. "Cuz my gramma Matilda was dunked."

"Not long enough." my mom told him.

Keep yourself close to the head, Jesus Christ. Rely on Him and not your own abilities or you will fail miserably. You were forgiven of all your sin when you believed in Him, now live your life for Him and walk in the Holy Spirit that God gives us in Jesus name. God bless.
