You only need to change if it becomes a hindrance to you and your partner. As long as no permanent damage is done and you keep things consentual it's fine.
The instant you either cause irreparable damage or force someone to do what they don't want, get help. Even if afterwards your partner says it's okay, it's not. Pain as pleasure is one thing, but bodily harm and rape are a whole different issue.
