its all how you handle the situation.
you like to be nice, but i say be the opposite and tell him the truth that you are not interested in him in any way.
just tell him to buzz off, he will get the point

Everyone has great advice...but none of it will work, as long as he believes that you will be nice to him (or speak with him, or be within sight of him).
If you really want him to stop, there are 3 options:
1) Have a boyfriend (that's not him)
2) If you have a male friend who doesn't mind doing so, ask him to tell the fellow in no uncertain terms that he should stop hitting on you...or else.
3) Be brutally honest with him and let him know, with others around, that you are not interested in his advances. It's got to be at least mildly embarrassing to him. Do not make it a game or amusing. It's got to be serious and more or less public.

That's really tough especially if you are trying mot to hurt his feelings. If a guy is being persistent its because he cant get you off of his mind and finds you incredibly sexy. About the only thing you can do is to just try to be nice and tell him you are not interested ( don't say not interested at this time unless you mean it) If all else fails and it is getting annoying then do what you have to do.
Lets face it though when a gal is as attractive as you are then you can expect a certain amount of unwanted advances,

Tell him to stop. Do it one-on-one, not in front of other people.
If he persists, shame him in public "I told you to stop hitting on me and you're still doing it. That makes you a creep. Keep it up and it'll be stalking and harassment"

you tell him that you are not into him, be honest and tell him why, when you tell a guy to f**k off then chances are he is going to try another method. the best thing to do is tell him why you are not intrested in him and then what ever he may say or do pay no attention to him.

Just stop being your wanna be person. Just wear big cloths, dont wear make up, etc... they will think your nuts. Then will stop.
