Some people are naturally tiny. She probably hears people call her anorexic a lot, so it probably doesn't make her feel too great when you tell her she is too skinny. Yes, she is very small, but that might just be the way her body is. Try not to make her feel too bad about it. I'm 5'5" and 98 pounds, and I really hate when people tell me I'm too skinny. Just because she is underweight does not mean she is unhealthy. Just make sure she is eating properly. An "ideal" weight for that height is probably between 110 and 115.

The numbers don't really mean anything. Bone structure and BMI (body mass index) are much better indicators of "ideal" body weight. If she is concerned, have her go to a local gym and have a trainer work out her BMI. A professional opinion may go a lot further if she is truly underweight. I am 5'7" and my normal body weight most of my life (I am 44) has been 107. By the numbers, that is ridiculous skinny. However, I have a small bone structure and eat like a cow (it almost embarrasses my family.) I am blessed with a high metabolism, low heart rate, blood pressure and cholosterol. Your friend may simply be the same way. It is good that you are concerned, though, if more friends were, we could save a lot more young girls.

The ideal weight range for a 5'4" inch woman is 110 to 140.
She is only 14, and still growing.
If she eats well, and she is healthy otherwise, leave her alone.
Nagging will not help.
Why not offer to train with her? Do pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches; and do walking/dancing/swimming to gain muscle.

It's an ideal weight, I guess. If you think she is a bit skinny, tell her to eat a bit more. But I think it's a good weight for her height.

She is in th weight rage but very close to being under weight. It is ok if you speak your mind but don't say it too much because she will get annoyed
