I think people should limit themselves, since they know we are running out of supplies/ room at a rapid rate. That goes double for people on gov. assitance or immigrants. Why would you want to have more than 2-3 kids when you know the position our money, government, healthcare is? Its rediculous. Plus if you are popping out taht many kids are they really getting everything they need to grow up and be okay? Or wil they be the next serial rapist blaming mommy for not enough attention and never gtting a flu shot or a new pair of shoes? We should be more like china.

YES! This should definitely be monitored and limited. China actually doesn't have it all wrong. It's a fact that those who are in the lower income bracket, uneducated, and religious fanatics are the ones over populating this country. Soon, that's all that's going to be left. They are going to outnumber the rest of us. Think of the kids who live in the bad part of your town. Can you honestly imagine them being the CEO of a company, or even running our country? I don't think so.

The basis of our country being FREE means that we are free to make the choices that we would like.

Limiting the number of children one has is the ultimate form of governmental control, and, absolutely unacceptable....

However, you may want to adopt a public assistance policy more like Wisconsin's . There is no additional benefit for additional children.

I am a DEDICATED mommy to 4. I am sure many think 4 is a lot, but, I intend to be a foster mom soon, and, aspire to never have an empty bed in our home (while there are children in orphanages that can use it)

yes i think the governmenet should, in all countries. coz i have seen how some people use their chideren , some think they will make the relationship stronger so they get pregnant, some fight on child support and all
people just dont understand that it is a huge responsibility to raise a child not a social norm,i think more than 2 should not be allowed!

Are you writing from China or something? By we, do you mean Yahoo! Answers Community or the Government? Either way, neither has the authority to impose such a devious thing.

No.

But I think that there should be something to the rule of being able to support all of the children that you do have. If you want to have 10 kids, you had damn better be able to support all 10 without my tax dollars to help out!!

Maybe someday we might have to, although that would impose on peoples' freedom. But at this point there isn't really a need for it yet.

No. I live in Utah. Living in Utah=people having at least 7 kids and there have been no problems with anything. We aren't China.

No, but I do think we should have people's tubes tied until they're ready to have a baby...well if it could be done.
