i have excel 2007 home and student version and i am on windows vista. if i were to record a macro into the personal workbook so that i could bring it up in any excel workbook, what are the exact steps. the macro would be the name "my first macro" and i would like it to be called by pressing keys such as CNTL M, or something of your choice, just to get me starteed doing macros. If you would like to guide me in utilizing a button on my toolbar to call up a macro, that would even be better. but i would also require step by step on that. i once did a macro. i have the info on how to do it, but i've become dumbified or something in the macro process, it just hasn't been happening for me, and i don't know why, please help! note, when i tried a macro last night, the i went to run it, i got an error message stating that i must use "unhide". so i believe i am going in circles or something. ,
