It's likely flight training. Pilots must maintain proficiency in formation flying and the way they do that is to fly around in formation every so often.

I used to live under one of the flight paths of a military base -
They flew in formation over my farm from time to time -
The truth is you will never know what they may or may not have been up to that day or any other day
Worry when they shoot or land -
Other than that - my guess would be they were doing routine training exercises - and you may now live under one of thier flight paths -
It scares the crap out of the cattle for about 6 months and then they settle down - Horses on the other hand never settle down or get used to it -
What can you do ?

i live in bh too but i was sleeping when it happened. my friends heard the huge boom noise/shake during school. they said the whole school heard it. i didnt hear cuz i was sleeping but i do remember waking exactly at 12 pm and then again at 1pm. my other friend said he actually saw the helicopters and he got a picture. i'll post it soon. he said that their were apaches black hawks and Chinooks dozens of them in triangle formation. theres only a picture of two Chinooks though. maybe an explosion exercise. oh maybe the govt are just being hush hush about it, maybe a ufo crash landing. or a possible attack from terrorists. LA is huge. do you remember what direction they went. like towards the beach or dowtown or mountains? what else did you see? what did u hear when the huge boom noise?

They're just flying in formation, nothing to worry about, probably just practicing. I live near Fort Rucker, Alabama where they train all the Army helicopter pilots, we see that all the time, sometimes up to 20 of them all in formation.

Depends on what sort of helicopter. Blackhawks would mean a unit travelling together.

Gotta practice Air Assault flight unless you want to run into each other.
Practice, practice, practice makes Jack a useful pilot.

It means that our military is practicing and staying prepared to defend and protect you and me from people who want to rape or murder us or force us to believe in their religion.
