First i'd like to say that i respect everyone and their beliefs, but i'm curious.........Why don't unbelievers except the Beautiful message of Christ. what are they SO repellant of? All he did was Love people and give Good Advice on how to live a Rightful life. He just want to form a friendship with everyone so that they can live peacefully in eternity! What is SO bad about that? Why won’t most people accept this pure and simple message? ….To say that you don’t believe because you can’t see him, is just an excuse, because you believe in Radio Waves, but you can’t see them. I would like for the “unbeliever” to TRY and convince me to agree with them. With all respect, I’m not condemning NO ONE, because everyone is entitle to believe what they want, if it makes perfect sense to them. I’m just curious about, why so many people hate or don’t believe in someone who wants to help them?????

Like i said, i respect everyones answer..but a lot of people are blameing god for natural disasters and death of children. Do you guys know that thousands of years ago, disasters where predicted in the old and new testiment of the bible? these are called "Birth Pains" of the end times.. Also Jesus gave us advice to live by. Most people don't belive in his teachings of protections, so if your not using the adive he gave for protection, then you and your family members are WIDE OPEN for satan attacks. What most people don't understand, is that god talks to us, though people, tv, the bible, and radio. People who are saved recieves spiritual Wisdom & Knowelege to so that they can decern right from wong. These kind of gifts are more than common sense. If God speaks to a believer and tell them not to go here or there because somthing bad will happen, is it Gods fault that they didn't listen?

Also, i'd like to add that the bible gives us vivid details on wat to eat, and that we should exercise, so that we can have good health and strength. Is it god's fault that most people eat soo unheathy, which causes dieseases to develope, and children to be born with sickness and dieseased bodies? who can we blaim God for our own mistakes. We go and makes guns and bums, and when a child dies because of it, we blaim god? that's unfair to him.

I understand what you are saying. But you are basing this on a personal level, right?
There are other genuine people who have different personal beliefs. For example, in Islam, the idea that the sinless and innocent prophet Jesus, being crucified for the sinners that we are is viewed as unjust. GOD would never allow the innocent to die for the quilty. That is why they reject the Jesus died for our sins stuff. Just wouldn't be just. (The innocent being sacrificed so that the guilty go free could even be viewed as demonic/evil by many people.)
In most other religions, there are also plenty of legitimate ways to make attoinment for one's sins. And everything that is found in Christianity can be found in other religions in one form or another, and what can be found in for example, Buddhism, can also be found in Christianity in one way or another.
So yes, the Christian message is a beautiful one, but so are the messages of many other religions, too. It is all in the way the individual sees it.

Errr... first of all, I don't believe it's THAT good of a message, since it also says that those who don't accept Christ will be subject to a fiery underworld regardless of how good of a person they were in life, and I find that to be pretty ridiculous.
But even if I was convinced that it WAS a good message, that doesn't matter. It can be a great message, but that doesn't make it true. "Believe in Thor and you'll be rich and famous and popular and get everything you want" is also a great message -- but that doesn't mean it's true.
I have no problems with Christ. I'm not rebelling. I'm not "being repellant". I have just never seen any evidence that the concept is true to begin with. If someone provides evidence, then OK, I'll start believing. But I haven't. That's really all there is to it.
And I have no desire to make you change your mind; believe what you want and let everyone else believe what they want.

He doesn't repel me...I just don't believe that he existed. The Christian religion is based on other myths much older than Christianity.
Let me give you an example.
**Egyptian God Horus (3000 BC)**
Born Dec 25th to a virgin
Birth heralded by a star in the East
Adorned by three kings
Became teacher at 12
At age of 30 baptized, and began ministry
Had 12 disciples
Performed miracles
Known by names: "The Truth", "The Light", "Lamb of God", "God's anointed Son", "Good Shepherd"
Betrayed by Tithon
Crucified
Dead for 3 days
Resurrected
There's many more gods that follow this same pattern, all before the time of Christ. If you think I'm making this up, look it up. Horus was around 3000 years before the birth of Christ.

The bible is like history. Sometimes it is biased and no one knows for SURE what Jesus was like. I'm sure he was a great guy and all....but not everyone believes he was God's son all all that. You arent very good at not sounding biased either.
It isnt that we are repelling it and its not that it is SO bad, as you say. But there are lots of people who just give love and kindness and help people live in peace and eternity. There are lots of characters in books and movies who have the qualities you described in the above, but we dont worship them.
And I'm pretty sure scientists can prove radio waves exist....can you prove Jesus was actually the son of God? No. and you cant prove he wasnt either, so people can choose what they want to believe and GOD bless them for it!
Also, I pray to God. People all over the world pray to god and jesus and the spirits and all that but they are still faced with murder, they are still drug addicts, they still get beaten....if ALL jesus wants to do is help, then where is he now? Where is he when the Africans are dying from mass genocide in Dar Fur? Where was he during the 9/11 attacks??
You see, it is not hard to feel like no one is watching over you....

My feeling is that many unbelievers have not read the Bible or they just don't understand it And how prayer works in ones life. The stories that are written are about whats going on now. And are to help us keep the faith. We will get though it all if we just keep the faith. It took me years to understand the bible and I learned from it to pay attention to what was going on around me and the people God placed in my life. Let's just take the first chapter of Genesis which to me is the important part of the bible. After reading it many times I saw many families making mistakes and that the off springs followed what their parents done even if it was wrong. God choose people who believed in his teachings. He pulled families member away from those who didn't believe in him. Those who believed in him he took care of. Proverbs is a way of life. There is much wisdom in it. People who don't believe their focus is on themselves which is why they have such a hard time with life. Life is good ,its not about me its what I can do for someone else. That is what Jesus was saying to us all.

Why do you want to be convince? I thought you're are just curious?
Anyway, about your question. Unvbelievers ahve other source of beautiful messages other than CNN and Fox News. Well an unbeliever can listen to the words of Buddha and Mahatma gandhi. To live someone's life by following the words of great men doesn't requires worship.
Also, you don't need to bribe a believer an eternal life so that he will listen to you. As I have told you, I can live my life imitating Gandhi's non-violent concept without waiting for heaven.
Now about friendship...well seriously speaking, I cannot form a friendship with a dead Jew on a stick. If I would like to enter a compact of friendship I would like to know first if this "friend" is not a pigment of someone's wild imagination.
BTW, believing or non-believing in radio waves doesn't require a belief of the afterlife and eternal damnation in hell.

Back before the policies of our Christian President George W. Bush made it impossible for me to find work in my own country, I used to undergo annual "job performance evaluations." My work was measured not by my intentions, but by the results I achieved. You say the message of Christ is beautiful, but I reflect on 2,000 years of bloody Crusades, religious wars, the Inquisition, witch trials, intolerance, etc., and ask why so many Christians have turned this message into something so hideous? It's certainly not a tradition to which I want to belong, and with all due respect, it really seems like Christianity, regardless of intentions, has had ample opportunity to prove its value. Based on the visible results, Christ should be fired and a new God hired, one who can actually deliver peace.

You are forgetting one thing, and thats non believers are fact seekers. you get your "facts" from the bible, but most people cant even say who "wrote" the bible. facts are everything.
most believers just "accept" his existence, and believe without reason. you are told hes there and accept it. i hear alot "why dont you just appreciate what hes done for you". and i would wager that a typical response from a non believer is "prove what hes done for me". the bible isnt proof. its just an author, who has collected so called snippets of time, throughout hundreds of years, and put them into one book, calling it a bible. thats not proof.
unfortunately, the only way to gain proof is to find a way to travel back in time and witness it for yourself. until then, you will never be able to prove it.
i hear alot also "where do you think you came from then?!! monkeys?!!"
NO!!
i hate that idea. darwin is my least favorite topic. there are other speculations, and can be found on veoh and youtube.
qouting you "To say that you don’t believe because you can’t see him, is just an excuse, because you believe in Radio Waves, but you can’t see them."
alright, lets examine that. Radio waves. With our own eyes.....not un aided. Obviously they are there, yes, but they can be seen with the proper equipment.
but besides this, heres where i get to make a decent arguement. you say why believe in radio waves, even though you cant see them. its simple. it started with an idea. on this idea, hypothesis' were formed, and researched, followed by scientific experimenting, and review. eventually, we found a way to see them, using the proper equipment. we found a way to gain proof of their existence. the same CANNOT be said for god and jesus.
Now, all this being said, i would like to point out that im floating on my religion. i was raised baptist, and am struggling to keep my faith, but my common sense is continious analyzing facts, and thinking about things that i cant explain. i am constantly hunting for answers, and finding them in the most unusual places. I have not abandoned my faith, but have pulled away far enough to be able to argue a decent point here.

I can't see radio waves or T.V waves or X Rays or microwaves but when I turn on a device that is mass produced due to laws that have been studied and checked for decades, it works. I have proof of it's existence in functionality
By contrast, a book 2000+ years old filled with contradictions and vile genocidal stories (death of 1st born in Egypt, destruction of cities, eternal damnation for "sins" that hurt no one, etc.) is used to manipulate people through fear.
You are looking only at the good portions of the Bible when you say what you say. It is a credit to human morality that it present in spite of the Bible not because of it!

well there could have been a jesus of nazareth but there also could have bee a jesus of another city.
there also hasnt been physical proof of it.
but let me say this....
if Christianity was the right religion, why are there so many other religions...

add on to the post above me...
A connection between Jesus and Horus-Osiris is frequently raised by critics of the historicity of Jesus, who argue that he was a mythical figure (see Jesus-Myth). Superficially, the death and resurrection of Horus-Osiris, and Horus' nature as both the son of Osiris and Osiris himself, appear to be a template for the idea that this occurred in Jesus.
Deeper similarities between Horus and Jesus, which are not at all obvious to those who are not completely familiar with ancient Egyptian mythology and linguistics, have been said by some to mean that certain elements of the story of Jesus were embellishments, which were copied from the Horus as syncretism. Indeed, according to a few more radical scholars, Jesus was copied from Horus wholesale, and made into a Jewish teacher. In particular, it is said that Horus is the basis for the elements assigned to the M Gospel (the bits in Matthew which are not in the Q Gospel or Mark) and the L Gospel (the bits in Luke which are not in the Q gospel or Mark), especially the infancy narratives
and yes horus was born of a virgin (his mother, Isis)
both jesus and horus birth was withnessed by shepherds.
check this...
death threats to jesus and horus at birth was by people with a name starting with "H"
both baptized at 30.
both raised the dead
both died and came back and... the comming back from the dead was both announced by a woman.
the list goes on forever...
there for jesus = myth.
