Is the following correct?

1.) Permeability is the ability of a soil or aggregate to transmit fluids such as water and air that come into contact with it.

2.) Frost action will cause liquids contained in the pores of the soil to expand, pushing the soil particles upward, and hence, causing items embedded in the soil such as foundations to be pushed upward.

3.) The minimum safe depth that a foundation must be at in must be below the frost line to avoid causing the foundation to lift up. This depth is specified by the building code as .

The first two are absolutely correct. The last sounds right, but I'll let you do the research :-)

You are essentially correct.
The Building Codes do give the Minimum depths for foundations by 'zones`.

The thought is right on the third one. I find the wording awkward.

The first two are fine.
