As a Christian, I don't have the option of not extending forgiveness, though it may take time and effort.
If someone chooses not to forgive me, I have no control over that. :)

Why wouldn't forgiving someone be on the menu? It is always on the menu just like water is always on the menu as a restaurant even if it isn't listed.
Forgiveness is for you not for them.
The next step if you don't forgive someone is usually to dwell on the problem...then comes bitterness and dislike (or hatred)...in short, it hurts you WAY more than it hurts the other person not to forgive.
Forgiving does not mean forgetting nor does it mean that things go back to "the way they were".

You only have to forgive them in your heart, especially If It could cause harm to either party involved. God just wants to know that in the heart you forgave them.Sometimes this can be very difficult, so pray for courage and wisdom to overcome the resentment long enough to forgive. You have to forgive but you never have to forget. You can't take the next step up the ladder without hitting this one first. GOOD LUCK!! & GOD BLESS!!

I just finished watching, The five people you meet in Heaven"
It is not the movie you are thinking of, if you watch it, then you will be able to forgive the people who did you wrong.

If you don't forgive others, you will not be forgiven....I would forgive and not camp around it...If you throw up camp and refuse to leave,,,then you will get stuck in the past......Forgive and move on...

You better change restaurants, because there is no next step.
You can't skip step number one if you truly want to be in the journey.
