my girl friend wants me to give her a small tattoo she wants her name no bigger than the size of a quarter, does any one know where i can get some info on how to proporly sterilize the needles and how to apply the tattoo with minimum pain because i dont want to end up hurting her while doing this.

Unless you have an autoclave and have been doing this for years, I highly suggest NOT doing this. Not only do homemade tattoos look hideous, they can easily get infected. My friend did 2 tattoos herself and they both turned out horrible! She hates them but doesn't have the money to remove them or get them covered. I waited and saved up my money and got all my ink done professionally and the difference is night and day.
If your girlfriend wants a tattoo, tell her to save her money and go to a professional. Say no to scratchers.

Unless you have a couple thousand bucks to spend on an autoclave, you cannot properly sterilize anything. Rubbing things down with alcohol is not "sterilizing." It doesn't get rid of the bacteria that are truly dangerous (like Hepetitis, or HIV). Setting it over a flame (contrary to popular belief) actually makes it even dirtier, since a flame that you have the means to produce just isn't that hot.
Not only that, but india ink is not proper tattoo ink, and so it will not hold up very well over time. It will wind up looking like crap.
And finally, it takes years of practice to learn to tattoo properly. What makes you think you can learn it by surfing Google?
If you love her at all, you will tell her to go to a professional instead of letting a complete novice with no idea what he's doing at all hack at her skin.

If that's all she wants, she should get it done by a pro. it would be 50.00 - 60.00 MAX to cover the cost of ink, and needles.
She doesnt deserve sterilized needles, if shes getting a homemade tattoo. If that's what she wants, tell her to go to jail.

DONT! Her name better be one letter if she wants it the size of a quarter. it will turn into a blob of unreadable black ink in a few years. wait till you have the money to get it done right, it only cost 50 bucks for something that small.

Don't do it. At best, she'll end up with something that looks like it was done in a jail cell in riker's island. At worst, she'll end up with an infection and need plastic surgery.
