Christians and Jews believe in the same God, but Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God and through him we are all saved.
Jews don't believe in the new testament, and believe they have to follow all the rules of the old testament.

There is only one true God. Psalm 83:18 is one of many scriptures that identifies the name of Almighty God as Jehovah. The Ancient Jews used God’s name and worshipped Jehovah.
Throughout his life and ministry, Jesus worshipped and prayed to Jehovah and never claimed to be God himself. A few of the countless number of scriptures that bear this out are John 14:28, Colossians 1:15, and Hebrews 5:7,8. At Mark 12:29 Jesus quoted from Deuteronomy 6:4 where he stated “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah”. That is important for a couple of reasons. (1) he said OUR god, and (2) Jehovah is one, not part of some mysterious trinity (which incidentally the Trinity doctrine didn’t come into existence until many centuries after Jesus’ death).
The Christian Century, in its May 20-27, 1998, issue, quotes a pastor who says the Trinity is “a teaching of the church rather than a teaching of Jesus.”
The Father’s superiority over the Son, is shown in a prayer of Jesus during the night before his execution: “Father, if you wish, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If they were the same person, how could the father’s wish be different from the son’s?
Also, consider Mark 13:32 – “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.” Again, if they are the same person, how could one be aware of the day and hour and the other not be?
Jehovah is the one true god of ancient Jews and also of true Christians. The Bible encourages us to use God’s name. See Romans 10:13 “For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”

The God of the Jews, who is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is the same God who is the God of the Christians. That statement is from a Christian perspective. Jewish non-Christians may not consider that we Christians worship the same God as them at all. The difference is in people's response to Jesus.
Christians believe that God is three-in-one, a trinity, and that Jesus (God the Son) came to earth, born as a human, to pay for the sins of humanity through His death on the cross and so provide the way of salvation. This is why Jesus is called the Messiah or Savior.
Mainstream Judiasm rejects Jesus as Messiah. This is what makes them not Christian. But there are many Jews who have come to realize that their Jewish Messiah really is Jesus, and so they have become Messianic Jews, or Jewish Christians.

Hi guys,
It is shame to talk about religion in this century. First of all, the religion is made by some disciplined persons in olden days to make the people disciplined!
Now people are educated and talking about rocket science, nuclear science etc. I agree there is a power which is called as God. The same power was God for Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and many. So, try to understand what is God. Don't be average radicals!
If you don't come out of race, religion, language, you can not see God at all. Don't give a chance to the radicals to rule the world under the umbrella of religion.
Think carefully and do something different!
Do think something really good for the society.
Cheers

The God of Abraham is the God of Christians, Jews and Muslims, hence they are called Abrahamic religions.
However, Christians confuse the issue with the Trinity; God, Jesus & Holy Ghost, supposedly one and the same. But they say Jesus IS God, and vice-versa. All this after God expressely said not to have any Gods before him. Maybe you can figure it out.
"...we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity...for there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost is all one...they are not three gods, but one God...the whole three persons are co-eternal and co-equal...he therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity..." (excerpts from the Athanasian Creed).

Jesus is not the god of the Christians. God is the god of the Christians and the Jews. Jesus told the Christians that no one can come to the Father except through him and that is why Christians follow Jesus. When I pray to God, I pray to God, but I do it in Jesus' name. As a born-again Christian, the name of Jesus is my "membership card" that allows me all the rights and privileges of being a child of God. This is actually a very simplified explanation of something that is a bit more complex ... but I think it's enough to answer your question.

Technically, Jesus is part of the trinity (with the Father and the Holy Ghost) called God. Yahweh is the God for Jewish people, im pretty sure.

First & foremost Christians do not literally say that Jesus is God instead Jesus is the Son of God. He is Part of the holy trinity (God the Father, God the Son, the Holy Spirit)...in simple words "Jews believe that God is God"

For real Christians, Jesus IS NOT ALMIGHTY GOD!
He is A GOD but His Father, YHWH The God of the Jews, They do NOT pronounce the sacred Name Yah out of OLD superstition, But YHWH it is.
Jesus is the first born of ALL Creation,Created personally by YHWH, and then through Jesus ALL else was created.
So Jesus is A Creator, BUT not the Supreme Creator ore the Most High God, Jesus is a God and a Co-Creator with Ya.
So As I see it.
TRUE CHRISTIANS, and FAITHFUL JEWS, Have the SAME ALMIGHTY GOD.....YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the beginning (John 1:1), there was two, God the father , and the word(whom later became Jesus Christ).
The God of the Jews, was the Word(Jesus Christ), Who lead them out from the land of Egypt. No one has ever see or heard God the Father, for if you did, you would die. God the Father speak, and every thing is done. There is no conflict, all of us,Jews, gentiles, men woman, bond or free, we are all the children of God. God is No respecter of person.
